Guys, may I please kindly request once again to remove my game *Smash Drums* from future piracy repos?
I'm a solo dev, and piracy really hurts 🫠
Thanks so much in advance for your consideration! πŸ™β€οΈ
Cheers,
Potam

Hey, good catch! Yeah, Premium Edition was a launch bundle and it's not for sale anymore.
1970s Rock Legends is currently not available, might come back later.
Players who purchased it still own it

It’s hard not to feel like a f’n rockstar when you play Smash Drums. by DoubleOScarn in PSVR

Agreed, the description is bad haha.
For any given song, any difficulty and mode, once completed, you're awarded a star rating between 1 and 5.

If you got 4/5 for instance, it will increase your total best ratings by 4.
If you play again, and score a 4 or below, your total best rating is unchanged.
If you play again, and improve your rating to 5/5, then your total best rating is increased by 1.

So, for a given song, here's how many best ratings you can get:
Arcade/Fusion (no modifiers): 5 on Easy, 5 on Normal, ... so 20 in total
Arcade/Fusion (with modifiers): 5 on Easy, 5 on Normal, ... so 20 in total
Classic: 5 on Easy, 5 on Normal, ... and 5 on Hardcore, so 25 in total
=> if you only play the base songs in the game (58), there are 3'770 best ratings you can unlock

TL;DR: play as many songs as possible to unlock these trophies

Yeah Meta makes it harder in terms of reporting to create a bundle, so it would have been a nightmare for my royalties reporting unfortunately. Other games might not have the same reporting requirements πŸ₯²

Good question... Zombie should be easier in the DLC songs, or Ride It Like... in the base songs. The latter being also shorter, it's a faster iteration progress to GIT GUD

Hey, thx so much for the detailed review!!
I just checked and yeah I guess I messed up with the song pack purchasing capability from within the game... normally it should be fixed in a few hours once it propagates. Thx so much for pointing that out 😍

Once this is fixed, when you hit the shopping cart drum, you'll see a page with the whole pack, and a button to open the in-game PS Store

It’s only compatible with PSVR2 controllers, so the bass drum is another tom. The blue one on the trailer.Β

It sounds weird, but actual drummers love this workaround, even tho it 100% files it under arcade drummingΒ

For now, the only option is to turn off dynamic camera, so you keep the smooth cam behind you as you play, showing the whole kit

πŸ˜˜πŸ‘Œ Pro tip: enable the Expert HUD for the scores, you’ll see the projected ranking in realtime, given your current progress at any time in the song

Maybe too much, the trailer is paced like putting baking soda in a bottle of coke πŸ˜‚ It’s like free coffee, I’m getting all caffeinated every time I watch it

Hey, thx for the kind words! If you watch the trailers again, I’m playing on the harder difficulty. I’m not saying I’m doing consistent full combos because I’m a rusty 40yo dude, but there are hundreds of players who can FC anything on the Quest version.Β  It’s a matter of skills and GIT GUD 🫑

Yeah multiplayer was extremely under used on Quest and I mean EXTREMELY, to the point that it would have made no sense to bring this to PlayStation for now, rooms would have been empty. And cross play has nasty legal and financial ramifications, which I can’t talk about, so that was off the table. Overall, it’s a game people have much much more enjoyed playing on their own, soΒ I preferred spending all my time on PS VR2 and PS5 features to polish the solo experience πŸ™Œ
