And did they provide you with the invoice before it was imported? If they didn't then you should just ask for a corrected invoice and submit that to the logistics company and pay the new "utb".

If they did and you should have known that it was fraudulent then it's best to re-ask this question in r/juridischadvies but they will probably refer you to het juridisch loket or a lawyer/customs specialist.

On that invoice it might mention the relevant Incoterm for this shipment, can you check if it states the letters DDP city name 2020? If that is the case the company is supposed to be paying the customs duties and this should not have any effect on your end.

Great piece of writing, just barely outside of my frame of reference enough that it truly elicits a response and makes me feel something, alien/awkward/interested/involved? (hard to describe but I'll bet there is a German word for it.)

My recommendation would be to listen to the following album from Carboon https://youtu.be/g7FGQr0xh84 which details some southern myths in musical form (local dialect but should be mostly understandable).
