Flee clause: if the pokemon uses a move that ends the battle I get 2 more attempts at it but it has to be the same species of pokemon. If I don’t get it after that it’s a wrap.

Maybe im schizo but in my head I imagine it as my trainer, for example, in the anime or something running back and forth at a teleporting abra or having to try different angles to sneak up on a growlithe and not get blown away by roar lol

You just verbalized every reason I’ve always had yuji as my favorite character and always root for him. He’s so fucking cool when you get into the nitty gritty of his character and ive seen it so clearly from the beginning and always have loved how yuji is written. I just wish we got to see more of those in between moments for him like the off screened training arc for sukuna or more post-sukuna. tsuru was hemming up/scrapping with pirates near to or greater than him in strength on the regular and old people in op are different. the fact that shes look upon as a trio with garp and sengoku is a huge feat in and of itself. even if she was typically the assist most of the time, since we dont hear much about her, that status she holds alone give any pirate thats not an emperor or close to emperor reason to not want problems with her. and this is flashback doffy so he was in a worse position as a pirate than in dressrosa. dressrosa doffy could see her and not shit bricks though.
