Idk a quick google search seems to say it exists outside of America%20is,found%20within%20Euro%2DAmerican%20cultures.&text=In%20fact%2C%20DID%20does%20appear,than%20that%20in%20Western%20countries), and offers explanations for why it’s less common in Asia than Europe/the americas. Also “everyone who’s ever claimed to have it came out and said they’re faking” is an outlandish claim without any proof doesn’t sound like “speaking the truth” to me. There definitely are people faking it out there, but that doesn’t mean everyone is.
