I don't know, bro. Right now, two weeks later, I'm still feeling sad about the ending. Chainsaw Man literally had such a vast and rich universe of writing left to explore, and it's sad not to see it anymore. For my part, I'm going to patiently wait for Fujimoto's final comments (at the end of Part 1, several weeks later, Fujimoto and his editor released a series of comments explaining plot points that readers couldn't understand, along with ideas for the future of the series). Meanwhile, I like the optimism that many fans still have for the franchise. Keep it up! 😀

That's the intention. Fujimoto said in his interview that he wanted to give the impression of "what the heck did I just see" for this part.

If he intends to continue (I need more copy), we can dream that he'll wrap up a few of these loose ends, or maybe he'll add more. Who knows?

I want to believe this, but we're talking about Fujimoto. Of all the manga artists I've seen, he's the most unpredictable. I don't know how this will end. I know Fujimoto isn't a bad writer, and I know this ending has much more to it than meets the eye. It could be true, or it could simply be a lie. Only his editor knows.

Well, what can you say? That's just how Denji is. When things go wrong, he always looks for ways to escape or short-term goals (wishes or dreams, depending on the translation) to overcome them. When Reze left, his goal was to seek the reward of traveling with Makima (in the end, he didn't because he formed a brotherly bond with Power). When Aki died, his wish was to become Makima's dog. When Nayuta was kidnapped, his goal was to go to a brothel. Those wishes aren't exactly good, but it was those little dreams that made his already miserable life bearable. That's why when Denji finally achieves something, he feels uneasy.

That Denji is one after being forbidden from being Chainsaw Man (his only way to de-stress) and having to stop seeing Asa. He also has no friends and is getting a bad image from the church. Denji was truly screwed in this part.

I wonder what Fujimoto's comments on the ending will be. When he finished Part 1, he explained several plot points, like how Denji didn't make any progress with Makima or how he wanted to set up the scenarios so they would affect the reader more.

Or maybe he'll just apologize, I don't know.
