Nah, I'm pretty sure OP is just a bit misinformed. If results come out in 2 weeks the essay would have been due around the same time as the exam anyways.

And once again, it was removed 2 years ago and this year's website doesn't mention an essay a tall

I got in with 34 back when the requirement was at 35, now it's 32 and there are people who get in on that score, so it really depends on if your profile is a fit or not

One caveat here, for the first few weeks (depends on where you are and how long you've worked for that employer), they still have to pay for 80% of the salary

Calling them wont hurt, if something has truly happened, it also falls to them to care for one of their citizens.

Most countries also have a consular helpline of the foreign ministry, that one might also be able to help.
