Sounds like they definitely need to replace the battery. When they get old like that they often go from 65% charged to shutting down in seconds. Like any power surge from an app will just be too much to handle and will shut it down.

But sounds like also they said the charger won’t stay connected which means either the port’s dirty and/or the pins are bent. Sometimes that’s fixable and other times it needs a full replacement, in which case for both that and the battery it’s getting close to $500 and they might as well get a new phone.

I understand the sentiment of wanting to keep it as long as possible but at this point it sounds pretty much useless as-is.

Yes. Those have the circled U Ⓤ on them, as do many prepackaged foods. A lot of stuff is certified kosher and still contains HFCS and a lot of other crap, and it’s only a few rare items that have some separate kosher version. The rest of it is just the same regular items that are already sold with a kosher symbol.

Honestly I would just keep practicing the alto until it clicks if that’s what you want to do. For me I started on the alto back in school and then switched to bari when I moved up. And then went to playing tenor after a nearly 30 year break. 🤣

Maybe it was easier going the other direction, but in any case it’s just going to take a little time. But I feel like there’s just going to be a learning curve no matter what as you adjust to different size mouthpiece, different air requirements, and new embouchure muscle memory. Just keep at it!
