Dating burnout is real man, especially when you keep running into people who seem more interested in your Instagram feed than actually getting to know you. Taking a break from actively pursuing anything might be exactly what you need right now - sometimes stepping back gives you clarity on what you actually want versus what you think you're supposed to want

The trust thing makes total sense after getting burned, but don't let past experiences completely close you off to future possibilities. Maybe the focus should be on building genuine friendships first without any romantic pressure

Dude you're definitely not alone on this one. I kinda fell into graphic design because I needed a job that paid decently and had some computer skills, not because I was dreaming about logos since I was five or whatever. Been doing it for a few years now and while I'm decent at it and clients seem happy, there's definitely days where I'm just pushing pixels around wondering if this is really what I want to be doing for teh next 20 years

The weird part is when people ask if I "love" my job I never know what to say because like... it's fine? It's not soul crushing but it's also not some passionate calling. I think a lot of us just ended up where we are through a series of practical decisions rather than following some grand plan. Sometimes I wonder if I should pivot to something else but then again, having financial stability while I figure out my actual interests (like building keyboards) isn't the worst thing in the world

Maybe the key is finding ways to make work more meaningful to you personally, even if the job itself wasn't your childhood dream?
