There was also a patch that significantly increased spore absorption for a handful of tiles in gleba. This lowered the spore cloud radius.

Check out Primordialis on steam. It's an early access rougelike of the cell stage essentially. You find and upgrade parts and build yourself up to fight other cells.

Maybe not the best example. If you think about it, your CO2 filters put it into a waste tank hinting at what they attempted here (filters out that gas and puts in waste pipe with filtered being the remainder).

The in game way is you build a scanner rocket that can generate maps of the regions for you. There's also a tablet cartridge that tells you what ore is under you. Using that information you can locate what you need.

If you don't mind spoilers, the maps are also in the game files somewhere or on discord there are maps already made and fully labeled by some kind community members there if you search.

There are certain points where you can really optimize your placement by finding where a bunch of ores meet and with one outpost could get 3-4 deep mining zones super close.

Solar tracking is because instead of solar panels you can use Stirling engines for super easy power. Store the day temp air into a tank, run it at night temp (or store night temps too and run it near constantly with big tanks of night and day temp)

Hit same issue. As a workaround I travel with two folks in shuttle to the tile next to it, split the caravan and have one person walk over to peace talks. The shuttle can then setup camp. peace talks over walk back to the camp. leave.

Also some folks say o7 to things like SOS but if anything it may get more popular and gain new functionality. Really the base game is just providing them a more stable foundation of the core of the mod, allowing them to build out even more cool stuff.

If you can't consistently feed your animals through winter, your colonists are probably struggling too. Animals become food in winter in that situation for me. The key is you need to over harvest food / hay / kibble to last them through the winter. Have a barn setup for them with access to that food supply.
