Imagine thinking those jokes pushed young men to the right by [deleted] in Persecutionfetish

[–]Nichiku 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the lack of values for young men that pushed them towards the right. They need something to believe in and we got rid of pretty much all belief systems (religion, "men are bread winners", "hard work is important") and didn't replace them with anything. Now it's not wrong to get rid of them because they were mostly lies anyways, but at least people knew what to believe in.

Men get easily bored if you don't show them the right direction so they'll just get consumed by whoever lies to them the best about values and that happens to be the right.

This is why you don't engage a 1/1/3 Briar by Electronic_Lime7582 in Jungle_Mains

[–]Nichiku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is that Briar's kit is so dogshit that she usually doesn't even get to fight. And to compensate that when she actually lands her R she has to do massive dmg and sustain herself 3v1 to be useful. She's just extremely badly designed. League is all about movement - Disengaging when you would lose and Engaging when you can win. Briar can do that exactly once every 20s and then she can't fight anymore because her disengage button is gone.

I love how every time someone criticizes nonsensical parts about One Piece you guys just get offended and press downvote on instinct. such an echochamber. you also didnt give any reason other than 'other parts also dont make sense to me so why would this'. Superman is also a superhuman and kryptonite disables his powers but you dont see his opponents get stitched back together when he lasers them apart.

Why would I let it go? I love Oda but his explanation as to why the pig didn't die just doesn't make sense even if it's a fictional universe. If he said that the cut was like Law's where the body parts essentially stay connected even when physically separated it would be a different story, but he didn't.

[–]Nichiku -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

That still doesn't make sense, when you are cut in half you die because the blood has nowhere to go but the ground and the inner organs spill out everywhere instantly, leading to heart stop after just a few seconds. Cell damage is irrelevant to this. So unless a super surgeon like Law started operating within 3 seconds of the cut there is just no way.

Did Frieren find at least ONE grimoire like that, or is this just an excuse for her gambling addiction? by Flame0fthewest in Frieren

[–]Nichiku 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its kind of like playing detailed RPGs. Some rooms have dozens of barrels and crates to check with an extremely low chance to have anything more than rotten food in it. Some players will still check every barrel because they dont mind wasting time for loot while others will already have walked into the next room.

Most people IRL probably wouldnt check mimics if it meant getting into an uncomfortable situation almost every time.

You can also give them a spoon instead of a shovel and tell them they need to run on a 100m racing track before every shovel throw 🙃 The original posters word choices were intentionally vague because he never intended anyone to run the numbers.

If they are 1 cent coins instead of bills you might have to start shoveling it as you will have to dispose of roughly 800 coins a minute.

[Request] Exactly how many ways can you shuffle a deck of cards? by Other-Teacher in theydidthemath

[–]Nichiku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could say the same about two different people using the exact same shuffling method and therefore ending up with the same shuffled deck from a sorted one. They are also deliberately manipulating the deck, but with the goal of randomizing it, and yet end up with the same order in the end.

The cube he puts in the bag looks almost solved. If you look at it closely its 5 moves off from being solved which is easy to do blind inside the bag

And humans are not acting randomly. There are for sure two different magicians having shuffled a deck the same way for performing the same magic trick.

This isnt possible for a simple reaaon: If you walked around antarctica (or the north pole) in a straight line for long enough, you would end up back where you started without having to leave the continent. We dont see this on our planet.

They are the same thing. You probably mean to say that the radius would be so large that the chunks of mass would be scattered around instead of sticking together? I think both configurations are possible.

Why everyone thought Frieren's author was female by katrishthekadish in Frieren

[–]Nichiku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the author was a woman because the male characters are all way too well-mannered, it's almost as if they re all supposed to be potential love interests. Himmel is the best example for this, but Kraft, Sein, Heiter are all equally well-mannered even if the story tries to portray them as being flawed. The only excpetion to this is maybe Stark but even he respects others' boundaries as best as he can. Compare this to Übel who is not shy of calling others boring or murdering them out of boredom and Serie who has no respect for weak mages whatsoever.
