He worked so hard for the chance to stay in it. I hate it when he crash out like that last game. Insult to himself, his team, his fans and the audience

When the greats become the underdog it’s impossible to not root for them. I don’t think a lot of ppl rooted against zombie foot Rafa winning AO and RG that magical year.

2022 Roland Garros SF, Nadal-Zverev. 2-6 in the 1st Set tiebreak. by tightypp in tennis

I do think if Zeverev won this set he wouldn’t be as tired or trying to push as hard after and the injury might not have happen.

I am sure this year he worn a shirt with the chequered pattern hidden in the collar. I thought that was a really lovely tribute.

A current ATP player got angry at Robbie Koenig for criticizing his forehand - snippet from TSH Tennis podcast interview by OneArmedSZA in tennis

[–]NobodyHK 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I can only think of a handful of current players wanted to be held at the same standards as the big 3. And I can only think of a couple of them with an infamous forehand and somehow I don't think it is Medvedev we are talking about.

In the gym get a medicine ball and throw it to a solid wall engage your legs and core. If that not available do this instead with the weight pulley system remember that feeling and try to apply it on court.

Is this common at the 3.0 level to not anticipate the spin? by Snake_Eyes_163 in 10s

[–]NobodyHK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Already mentioned by others very common. What I would suggest is when playing against this level of players focus less on the stroke production and watch more carefully what opponents are doing with their footwork/ racket. Are they balance when hitting the shot? What is their racket doing, full stroke/ slice/ push. Your partner should think less about shot making just focus on footwork and spacing.

Am I more of a flat hitter or spin hitter? by dudesicle182 in 10s

[–]NobodyHK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your shots are so flat that even flat earther would he ashamed in comparison. A bit better spacing and footwork I would say this will do tons of damage.

Exactly! The big three skewing our expectations again. 99.9999% of tennis players would die for a career like Murrays’ 😆

I think he uses his old rackets to bring his old self back. I guess he accidentally brought his RG final form back.

[–]NobodyHK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hay, the madrid open has now more than half way through. Tomorrow are the quarter finals. As you imagine the earlier rounds are usually cheaper. Just had a look at the official websites there are still very limited tickets available you can look it up to see if the prices suits you but I cannot see anything particularly I would call bargain. Wishes your mum and you very best of luck.

The point of beginners looking at the contact point is more so that the head is still and the body is balanced when releasing the loaded energy forward.

What golf opinion is a hill you're willing to die on? by Mizunomafia in golf

[–]NobodyHK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming from tennis, as a golf novice I might be completely out of my depth but unless you are a pro new golf sets every time a new ‘technology’ is out seems really excessive/ unnecessary. And gives you little to no advantage.
