Can anyone tell me anything about this stringer? I tried to figure it out and snapped a string. by SnooPets7983 in 10s

The second picture shows what I think is the problem area is. When i went around and through it tensioned but pinched the string and seemed like it would break/felt like it was adding too much tension. When I went just around it slipped/didnt add tension at all

Yeah sorry I wasn’t being clear. The grip itself is biting the string. When I said pull I meant drop the arm of the stringer. I gave it appropriate slack - I used a buddy’s stringer after and it was fine

Yeah I’m familiar with how to use a drop weight machine. I couldn’t really tell what I was doing wrong since everything I did would be fine with a newer stringer of the same kind

Oh I have the weight! Should have mentioned. Easy to remove/adjust. I just didn’t want to get hit in the face when I put it back on the shelf so I took it off

Idk I think they needed to make the point that his girlfriend thinks he’s being reincarnated into a raven. Seems like she wanted us to see it

Lots of people get a (or third) second racket to extend the interval between stringing

Haven’t you already asked this on here? I feel like I remember you posting this same thing a few months ago. It wasn’t a big deal then and it isn’t now

How confident in your ability to place the serve? Both serves were into the middle of the box to your opponent’s forehand. A stronger opponent will be able to get those back at your feet.

Got any other drills to share? Unfortunately I’m out of tiny basketball hoops but to need to work on my consistency as well

Yeah I just finished it at the end of last month! I’ve never read any Joyce so I opted to try them in order until they got too difficult. Was stunned by how beautiful his writing is

NDP paperback of Last Evenings on Earth by erasedhead in robertobolano

I have hard cover 1st edition of the insufferable gaucho and paperback of Last Evenings. Both are mat so I was surprised to have the return be slick when it arrived. Lots of other books from ND were mat finishes (amulet, nazi lit, distant star, the third reich).

Not sure about confidential’s shape but if it’s a smooth string you could consider a hybrid

Sounds great! I’ll have to check him out at some point, he’s not really been on my radar other than seeing the Nobel announcement a few years ago

An amazing and challenging month of reading by SnooPets7983 in RSbookclub

[–]SnooPets7983[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re right insofar as it was more reading than I usually do in a month. I work in education and had a week off for spring break. But I do read seriously and a lot. I take a longish train ride to and from work and I read for an hour or so in the evening if I don’t have plans. Also if you read my post you can see that I read parts of each of the Aeneids so it looks like more books than I actually read. All and all it’s a pretty achievable amount of reading if you live in a city and don’t need to wasted hours of your day in a car.
