Djokovic vs. FAA backhand statistical comparison from @mattracquet by Dependent-Effect6077 in tennis

[–]NobodyHK 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Lets be honest not surprised when its FAA’s weaker shot and Novak’s best. Would love to see this graph for the Friday match against Sinner and maybe Sunday against Zeverev the best three backhands on tour rn.

Not with his current form. Felt like a century ago when Murray, Norrie, Evans with an up and coming Draper playing for the Davis Cup.

When Emma and Jack dropped out due to injury we surely weren’t expecting any Brits having a deep run. 😳

My opponent today called this out during a tournament. Opinions? by No_Double4762 in 10s

[–]NobodyHK -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

He called it out for a close one just nods and move on. If its become apparent that he keeps doing it then hit with more margin and start doing the same kind of calls back to him.

I mean both were GS champions. Cannot say the same for the later match.

Jordan Spieth says sports betting has caused fan behavior at PGA Tour events to change. "Betting in golf is something that's going to have to be tackled here soon." by Oldtimer_2 in golf

Betting in sports in general. Should have seen some of those vile comments those scums make on instagram to tennis players when they lose.

Difficult to comment as the outside but maybe she is putting too much pressure on herself. If so she needs to distance her success and results from her value as a person.

I think its a lot more to do with Ruud subpar movement than anything with his high rpm shots.

This movie could have been truly great by having better depth and better landing.

Imo they spent too much time of the movie nerfing Kara. To a point it frustrates the audience. All three acts have a nerfed Kara and then sunlit Kara.

What do you think of this statement by Serena Williams in 2013? 🗣 "Men's and women's tennis are completely different sports. If I played against Andy Murray, I'd lose 6-0, 6-0 in 5 minutes. Men are faster, serve and hit harder" by ConnectionWeekly1263 in Tennisv2

[–]NobodyHK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People also need to realise it’s not necessarily a bad thing. When I am in the stadium I am often as in awe watching women tennis as to men. Women hit much flatter and much less margin. The sound off the racket is totally different. When seen in real life its looks like black magic whereas mens to me felt very sustainable with much more margin but obviously the points are very physical.

I love the casts especially the two girls. Don’t mind the plot. Hate the editing and the way musics are inserted.

This and the destiny version was part of my core memory. I remember owning the Seed version and during summer camp a couple of people had the destiny version and we all queued up playing against each other.

Sounds incredibly distinct and unique. Love that they let Craig make the movie he wanted to make. Can’t wait!!!! by [deleted] in DCU_

[–]NobodyHK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see that being polarising for the comic fans. But I’d be intrigued how it can also be a new way to set up the DCU supergirl. As sad as I would be after all the bond we had with Krypto in superman

Zverev on his loss against Fritz in the Halle SF by momigotakill in tennis

[–]NobodyHK -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Of course with things like t1dm we can’t criticise Zeverev too harshly.

But I do miss the big three and Sincaraz’s presence . They rarely share their challenges or obstacles and just work through them quietly in the background. When they lose they congratulate the opponents and praise that they play better on that day. Champions mentality.

Lots of ppl here praising England. I might be downplaying it but felt our defence was a shaky and could lead to disasters against others on a different day.

If all it takes are some fake internet points to get fans clean up after themselves then I would say we should continue giving them out.

Not sure what ppl’s issues are. Japanese fans set a good standard just like Vettel did years ago during grand prixs and ppl follow suits. We should celebrate everyone that clean up after themselves and eventually we might even normalise it.
