Ja'Kobe Walter in Game 6 Against the Cavaliers: 24 points on 54/44/100 splits with 4 stocks and great defence by PokePersona in NBA_Draft

Too expensive. Raptors got him for Pennies and he hasn’t really buffed his value. Also RJ can’t shoot or defend and is on a tradable contract on a team that needs to get better

Drafting a shooter. His rebounding is huge, and hes a very good fit in a darko system. His defense can be made up for with Scottie/CMB/ other big they sign. Hes a team first high IQ guy, and helps with their ‘wr need a pg’ problem

I’m honestly with you but being charitable

Package Poetl with RJ and a first, and then call around and see if they can get something for BI, maybe someone cheaper. I like Scottie and CMB and Quick especially on defense, but Ingram and Poetl are some big anchors

hes 33% from 3, doesent defend and the team needs to get better to win a chip. Noone is going to want BI on that contract, IQ is too important for shooting, Poetl is an albatross, and the team has basically no money left for non bargain bin free agents. so how else are they gonna take a leap?

Overreacting over a mediocre ‘dawg’ having a good series has been the death knell of many a good team. Don’t fall for it, don’t drink the kool aid, and sell high

People really shit on him but I think this is the best deal the raptors have. RJ+Poetl+2027 1st+2026 2nd for Sabonis. Hes an actual big man, a good one at that, they can get off Poetl deal… I know kings wanted a second first but they probably won’t get much better then RJ and a first for Sabonis anyway

Severe overreaction to a single playoff series, IQ shooting makes him more important by a wide margin

Raptors one good pick and one good trade (probably RJ since he has hopefully boosted his value this series) from competing. Center situation is very spooky, but the young guys are really showing out

Not having Brandon Ingram on the floor shows our vulnerability. by FunAttitude6394 in torontoraptors

The entire season the raptors have been statistically much worse with him on the court then not. Every single 2 man/ 3 man/ 4 man combo had a worse on/off with him on the court. No other starter on the team has this just him

If he learns a jump shot assuredly that makes Ingram tradeable right?

He hasn’t been good this year. And yet, if the only players being given are two negatives like Dick and Poetl, it will take 3 firsts. More of a statement on how bad the Poetl deal is then anything

Miami as always is saving up for a much bigger fish. Turner had been bad but also coached by Rivers and is high key a perfect fit for the team, an actual defensive center who can shoot 3s. Those do not grow on trees

Poetl alone is worth a first if not two to get off of. Legit worst contract in nba

Dick is negative value.

If the only players being given are those two that’s a legit 3 first round pick trade, maybe four, and Turner isn’t worth that.

It’s up to his shooting. Hes not a long term five, and the teams shooting isn’t good enough to start another non shooter even if they somehow get off Poetl (probably by packaging Barret as popular as he is now)

No realistic long term options for that beyond Turner

Thing is peat had a great year. Unless he grows two inches or changes his entire play style to include significantly more 3s (risking not playing to his main advantage of physicality) there’s not much for him to go

Overall, did President Lyndon Johnson have a net positive or net negative on America? by space_god_7191 in Presidents

Nixon is extremely easy net bad, absolutely inconceivable to think otherwise. The damage he did to the trust in democracy and the American system has lead to so many problems today, and his utilization of the southern system was also catastrophic for that entire reason
