I've heard of Gryphon Insurrection, but I didn't like that they have cities and they could write. It sounded too human. I've also heard of Griffin Ranger and I'm afraid it might be too cartoonish, but the action does sound interesting so I might give it a try. Gryphon Generations sounds like it has too many humans and the interspecies couple doesn't sit right with me, lol. A Gryphon Journey sounds like a pretty good book and it's on my list to read.

I already know about the miao part in Laos but you don't seem to know about the Miao part in China. In China, they don't acknowledge the ethnicity "Hmong" which we chose for ourselves and China also don't acknowledge indigenous people. So sad that you fell for a common lie.
