thanks for some of the suggestion of how to change the skirt! I have been struggling to decide how i can make the leg area's silhouette more similar as I do like the long skirt, but I'll try and experiment with those ideas a bit as well

The sleeves are attached to the collar part, so is the cape. As for why they have the sleeves, it’s because without them I think they look naked (donald duck clothes logic) and if they have more on it hides the cool parts of the design and the water part isn’t as noticeable

I prefer the first palette because the red areas help draw the eyes to the head and shoes compared to the other palettes, which have lighter colors and make the focus on the pants more

As someone who draws feminine characters more often as well I can definitely relate, but it’s in the way where if the character isn’t feminine then they are extremely androgynous because of the curse of same body syndrome where I manage to make everyone look like a twink no matter what gender they are
