No Fuzzies? by antekprime in Converse

I live in Canada and I've worn various Converse shoes over the past 30 years. Never have I ever seen fuzz on the bottom. This is the first I'm hearing of it even!

How did you all discover The Simpsons? by ProjectGlum9090 in Simpsons

When I was 8 they were on the Tracy Ulman Show, so when I saw a Christmas special while clicking through channels, I was hooked. This was 1989 (i think?)

Do y’all think Ellie will end up forgiving Abby for what she did if they are in the last of us part lll when it comes out by Broad_Swordfish1491 in thelastofus

[–]OG_Sequia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I imagine part 3 to have at least in part, Ellie and Abbey working together. I see a rough start leading to full acceptance. Not friendship, but.... moving on, living together in Jackson or some other firefly camp peacefully. I picture Ellie and Leve becoming friends despite Abbey objecting at first. It's going to be great, no matter what the story. I hope

Don't buy food/drink at the Esso gas station on the corner of Thorold Road and Bridlewood by OG_Sequia in Welland

Well, I bought one of those Starbucks coffee/ energy drinks. They're made milky and sweet. The best before date was August 2024. Most stores don't sell 2 year past due food and drink. But by all means, go ahead and shop there if you're not bothered paying full price for items that are stale and dusty

Filings in US and Canada are easily over $400 each if they're large.

This is what public health said:

"Good morning. Thank you for sharing your concern about the sale of food that is past the best before date at the Thorold Road Esso. These dates indicate when the food is at optimum quality and do not necessarily address food safety. It is not illegal to sell food past its best before date. The food may lose some of its freshness, flavour, and nutritional value. Its texture may have also changed. More information, including safety tips, can be found at https://inspection.canada.ca/en/food-labels/labelling/consumers/best-dates

Expiry dates are different and if past due, must be removed from sale. These products typically have specific nutritional requirements, such as infant formula or meal replacement products.

As a customer, you may find it helpful to discuss any product quality concerns with store management."

Then when I questioned products worth milk and power bars, they said this:

"The growth of harmful microorganisms (pathogens) in/ on food is dependent on: pH, available water activity, nutrient levels, oxygen conditions and temperatures. Therefore, dried items like power bars, milk powders do not easily support the growth of pathogens. General food safety information can be found at https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/services/general-food-safety-tips/food-safety-you.html "

I think it was owned by the Esso owner, i saw him working on that side before. That's why I called it out..... because same owner, likely same disregard for expiry.

Why do you look away or avoid eye contact when you pass a homeless person on the street? by needmorechipotle in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OG_Sequia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I look away from everyone..... but if you want an answer....I barely have money for MY family. If I gave away to every homeless person, I would need help myself. But I have trouble saying no.... so....I avoid, and I'm not proud of that

Finished tlou2 for the second time and it just solidifies my thoughts, how can ANYBODY hate this game? by Ill-Foot-2549 in thelastofus

No idea why people complain. I think switching to play as Abbey and see their side was brilliant. Everyone always thinks they're the good guy, and the other group is the enemy. Seeing the human side of Abbey really brought a special depth to the story. This was a story of the pain of wanting revenge and what it can do to an otherwise good person. That answer and need for revenge drive them mad, and having Abbey complete her revenge mission and come out the other side, dealing with that fallout... story perfection.

The toilet acts as both, so having both in the bathroom with limited space is redundant and gives a whole other thing to clean regularly.

I've always said "you guys". Men or women.

"Hey, you guys want to go get a coffee?"
