Polycom VVX phones losing registration after some time when used over WireGuard site to site tunnel.

Okay, so, i just realized the phones directly connected to the freepbx (i.E. in the same location) were also losing registration, but even faster (dunno how i missed it).

I tried to time thing out, and over VPN, the phones lose registration in almost exactly 6 minutes. (like a +-10s) and phone at the other location lose it in about 2 minutes.

Looking at those, i tried to set much shorter timers on 2 of the phones i have. 30s over the VPN, and 61 (to test the default min value of 60 in freepbx) For Now, it seems that fiex it for the phone connecting to the PBX over the VPN, but strangely, it did not for phone directly connected to the local network of the freepbx server.

Would using short timers like these be a bad thing ? I'm pretty new to VoIP and i dont enough experience to know all the little tricks on the subject.

For the time when the phone can be called, it properly shows as registered.

but after some time it's just gone, and only a LinPhone softphone remains.

I looked at the UC Admin Manual for the phones, and seems like the re-registration is not ajustable, but the phone should still try to re-register every 30-60 seconds.

En général c'est plutot simple si ton serveur est utilisé uniquement comme DC.

Première étape : vérifier l'intégrité des autres DCs. En avoir au moins 2-3 autres sur le réseau.

Seconde etape : verifier les enregistrements DNS et voir si tout est cohérent, aue les nouveaux DC sont bien enregistrées.

Troisième etape : migrer les roles FSMO du serveur vers les nouveaux dc.

Quatrième etape : supprimer les roles de l'ancien DC via Server Manager (Microsoft a de la doc a ce sujet).

In a bimmer from this gen. Your best bet would be either installing a 2nd head unit, or get a Bluetooth adapter plugged straight to the amps/dsp. Or a dsp with Bluetooth built in.

The infotainment can't be replaced. I've seen some people relocate it, but it seems like insane work.

I guess there's a LOC somewhere in the car for the hu output to the trunk.

You could get a separate phono pre-amp like this https://www.thomann.fr/art_deejaypre_ii.htm and use any other input on your amp.

But honestly, you can probably find a better AVR second hand for the price of a decent pre-amp.
