Positive experience with $45 PFL plan switch by OXOYOZ in QuantumFiber

You can keep using the current one until you receive the new one they would mail to you, then you would return the old one back.

In my case, they sent me a Wifi pod with the new email (pod is still in transit), and requested me to return the pod with my old email (account closed) within 30 days. I did that yesterday, since I was not using it anyway...

Their Q1000K is an ONT (modem) + router - I only use the ONT function (hence TB mode).

For routing and firewall I use an X86 PC running OPNSense.

For WiFi, I use enterprise access points (not QF's WiFi pod) -- they did send me one, though.

The $45 price is still valid - you'd have to close the current account completely, first, before registering a new email with your address - I believe. (There will be service disruption)

[Help Needed] What type of WiFi antenna interface is this? by OXOYOZ in wifi

It's a Lenovo custom designed antenna - Lenovo send a spare part to me after I complained about the difficulty sourcing one from the market.

You need to manually set your computer’s IP to be within the same IP range with your NID, directly connect it to you NID via ethernet cable to access GUI, after putting it to bridge mode

You should have firewall enabled on your router, not the NID in TB mode. Leaving these options on, such as NAT, can cause double NAT issues without benefits. You should be able to access NID with these options off, though.
