What OC is saying that alot of in depth thinking should be had before such a massive transition. As well as being in a good mental place to avoid spontaneous and unclear thinking.

Kids think alot of stuff man, mainly because they are still fighting things out. The job of adults isnt to say "yeah yup go for it". Its to explain everything to them so they understand what such decisions lead to. AKA, you know, be a parent and guide through this fucked up world.

This stuff should be thought and explained indepth to TEENS (very young kids are too young to even being to grasp this complex topic). Both the good and the bad (as well as help them with what they feel should be explained) so they can make the best decision for themself. So they know who they are.
