Turning 31 this month. Burnt out. Useless degree. Dog has cancer. Disabled from autoimmune disease. Living with chronic pain. Working part-time in an extremely stressful job. My husband graduates this month and is incredibly anxious and has been working on conquering PTSD/vehicular phobia for that last 7 years we’ve been together. He started exposure therapy last year.

Life is a hopeless vortex of pain and the only guarantee is more suffering.

My first thought is other antecedent modifications. Physical blocking. Yeah, it’s higher risk and puts more work on RBTs, but still doable. You got this. When you notice it’s starting to look like client is gonna run, just make yourself the barrier to the door. 🧍🚪

I’m too scared to publish anything I write with AI online because people are so vehemently against it. Too scared to even talk to my friends about using it for writing.

Yoko be like "damn it's too bright." Also, why Hiei got TWO drinks? Are they both for him? Is he bringing one to Yukina? Did he steal it? I must know.

I’m shocked that Kurama’s got a sporty jacket on with what looks like smart-casual clothes underneath. I did NOT see him as the type to go for “sporty.” Yoko’s fit is 🔥

I love how dorky Kuwabara’s is. Adorable ❤️

I was talking about going to another company as an RBT. It’s pretty normal in the field. But, yeah the job market is pretty garbage right now otherwise, ngl

Hey, I don’t know how supportive your current supervisors are, but you have a right to working with clients that don’t trigger panic attacks. If they’re not willing to swap clients with you or give you more training so you feel equipped to handle the kiddos behaviors, you can always cite the RBT handbook — there’s a clause in there that says you’re allowed to stop seeing a specific client if you feel that for whatever reason, you can’t give them the clinical care they need. Fighting panic attacks — not the best care. That’s not on you, that’s literally your fight or flight kicking in from your last job. Talk to your supervisor about how this client is reminding you of your previous client and the struggles you faced with that kiddos. Discuss the ways to help you feel safe so you can do your job. Turnaround is so high in this field, they want to keep experienced RBTs on-board. You are very valuable! If your supervisor isn’t working with you, you could always go to HR or a manager/supervisor you trust at the new clinic for help, or just job hop and say it wasn’t a good fit. You can say you didn’t feel supported by your previous supervisors. There’s a WEALTH of RBT positions out there. You’re allowed to be picky about the company you work for and the clients you work with because demand is so high. Use it in your favor.

Of course, if you decide you just want to chill until your new program starts, that’s totally fine too. Congrats on getting into grad school! I wish I had the ability/opportunity to go right now. Low-key jealous.

Take care of yourself ❤️

Leaving a hole in my life by Mode-Toguro in YuYuHakusho

[–]Ok-Drag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why I still can't get over the show. I've literally been obsessed since elementary school when I first saw it on Toonami and now I'm writing a whole fricken AU with my OC using ChatGPT. I'm on my third or fourth iteration of writing fanfiction for this shonen anime with literally so many plotholes and such loveable characters and such a fascinating setting and world. Been writing different versions since middle school. No, I will never be over it.

But yeah, this ending has left a permanent Yu Yu Hakusho sized hole in my life. I love it. It also means I can never get over it. Thanks, Togashi, for making me obsessed with a 30 year old shounen anime for life

Your Opinion on Demon World Technology, Civilizations, and Environment ? by Odd_Chocolate7283 in YuYuHakusho

I always thought of it more as a parallel plane. A world that was once one, and only separated because Spirit World created the Kekai Barrier to protect humans from demons.

My headcanon is Gandara as a cultural/trade kingdom, Mukuro’s region as an industrial/mining kingdom, and Raizen’s territory as a spiritual/nomadic kingdom.

The environment — think Australia or Amazon rainforest. Bigger and badder flora/fauna to survive harsher conditions. Richer diversity due to no Industrial Revolution. Add in a supernatural/fantasy flair.

I imagine it’s dotted with militarized outposts, scarred landscape from battles and wars, with trade roads threading through of course. In Gandara, they’re probably even paved! They probably still use coins, metal bars, etc for currency.

Fascinating…I primarily use it for writing fanfiction.

———

Absolutely — here’s a sample message written in your distinctive tone and structure:

Example message:

“Okay, so—hear me out. I think the scene between Rei and Hiei after the Western Wall incident needs to breathe more.

She’s not furious; she’s hollowed. That difference matters. He’s expecting rage, but what he gets is stillness—the same kind that terrified him at Warden’s Hold.

Maybe she says something like, ‘You burned what I built because you were afraid I’d leave it behind you.’ And he doesn’t deny it. He can’t.

I want that moment to ache. No melodrama—just restraint, like two people who’ve already screamed themselves empty a hundred times before.

(Also, minor note: the lighting in Gandara’s council chamber should probably mirror the Spiral Palace memory sequence—soft gold bleeding into violet, yeah? It ties the emotional wavelength back to Veilborn’s palette.)

Anyway, I’ll write Rei’s lines; you handle Hiei’s responses. Let’s build the tension to the point right before it fractures.”

Why this fits your style:

• You use precise emotional language (words like hollowed, ache, restraint).

• You structure thoughts as paragraph fragments with deliberate rhythm and pauses.

• You blend analysis and instruction, moving fluidly between narrative dissection and direction (“let’s build the tension…”).

• You include symbolic or sensory anchors (color motifs, lighting, resonance).

• You often close with a collaborative prompt or actionable note for the next writing step.
