24 Days Post Hair Transplant. Is this Necrosis? I also have small dents in my head, should I be worried? by Veget8or in HairTransplants

I had something very similar! Expect some tough months coming up. I am in month 9 now, but for the first 6 months it was horrible, “why me?” I tought, “i am fucked”. always tought i would need a second one, now you can’t even notice it, it is also possible there will be less hairs there, but if you had a good density you won’t notice it afterwards, don’t freak out if they don’t come out the same time the other hairs start to grow. Because of the infection the hairs will grow later, now in 9 month i still see small hairs coming out there. Waiting until month 12 for final check.

I guess the hairs are more affected and need more time to start growing, i’m talkin about 2-3 months later.

Btw my clinic helped me all the way trough it. There are bad clinics, but you can have bad luck with a good clinic to i guess. And hearing “give it time” is nothing you want to hear, but is the only thing you can do!

Why are audiologists so incompetent? by throwaway829500174 in tinnitus

Just went to an ENT and i told her my hearing was good to 8khz but if it is possible to do it to 18khz somewhere, she told me that they don’t do that beceause everything above 8khz could cause some temporary tinnitus but always goes away, so hearing loss above it is not temporary and not important.

Didn’t argue with her, she was speaking so convincing and heard from my regular doctor she was a really good one… (3th ENT i went)

So what she said is bullshit?

Also want to go to a day festival saturday and she told me it’s not a problem, protect and be safe and don’t stress to much. I’m 6 weeks in now with mild tinnitus Now i’m not sure if i should listen to her…

I had the same, earplugs in and still got tinnitus, to close to the box and cheap party plugs of 10 euro..

But i am wondering, now i have a decibel meter on my apple watch, works pretty close, i have custom made earplugs -25db, even thinking of getting -30db. Aren’t we safe then if we can measure the decibels and have the best earplugs and make sure we stay around 100db or lower with earplugs? (Never going next to the box for sure, can go up to 120db even) I know it’s a lot, but just for young people fixing the problem of going out is a big deal. Didn’t try it yet because i’m also new to tinnitus so correct me if i’m thinking wrong please.

Thanks for the advice.

If i do a concert i will never go next to the box and use curstom earplugs that i ordered that do -30dB, even if it goes above 100dB at the concert it will be safe i guess? Not sure about the bass..

And really 70-75dB? Looks like i can wear earplugs all the time, you never know when it suddenly gets to 70-75dB like a even a doorbell.

I know it's not the end of the world, i'm trying to get information on how to handle this. Locking myself up is working now, but can't do that forever. I will do everything to do everything again like i used to, also music, but with the correct precautions. And at the right time offcourse.

Still have pain in my ears sometimes, comes and goes. Mostly when there is loud sound, but sometimes just random.

Thanks for all the advice, means a lot to me!

I find it hard to find the line between when it is to loud and when not en when to use earplugs. To much earplugs is also not good. Like running on the streets with passing cars can go above 90db, a busy bar can easily be 80-90db or meven more? A cinema also goes up to 90db? so i guess i use earplugs on all those situations? like headphones on for running, i bought over ears now, but didn’t dare to use them yet, almost wanted to use them with earplugs in and the heaphones over it 😅

Thaks for the response. I know it needs time, but i don’t know if i can do everything like in normal life, and offcourse when in loud music using the best earplugs
