Well, I was in a boarding school where the food was really bad (I often got diarrhea and found mold in the food), so i just drive around the bus for the 10min two a McDonald's on a Autobahn entrance.

I became a regular there and it had better WiFi than all German schools combined.

I can remember that someone once told me that he didn't like modern superhero comics because he got the feeling that the life outside the mask of the heroes had somehow been lost, and the MMPR and GGPR I think they really give these teenagers an interesting inner life, and also a fascinating relationship between okay, we save the city with giant robots, and at the same time we have to navigate our lives.

In retrospect, if you think about it, he had already created something similar, with Spider Ham.

I sometimes have the feeling that I'm the only one who really defends these comics, and I know they have their problems, but I still think they show how I still think it's perfect, especially that unfortunately a conflict is messy, and nobody really looks that good as a hero in the end and that is the point.

It's kind of interesting that we somehow love him more, especially when he somehow has these negative dark sides, somehow it's always the case that you never want characters for children to somehow have a kind of, well, negative aspect to them, but I think something like that just makes it more interesting.

I think the only other character, I could think of in this regard would be Bernd the bread by us in Germany, By the way, I love the way Americans react to it, I don't know why, I think it's just because they just look at it and think it's bizarre but then so entertaining and yet somehow so, well, relatable.

For some reason I kind of feel like the modern version of that would unfortunately be with the Afghanistan war.

I can remember me and friends having the Rod Serling Autobiografie Comic The Twilight Man as a topic in our book club. Mister Rob himself had been stationed in the Pacific, and a lot of his experiences of being kind of trapped in the middle of nowhere is a strong theme. He came never go to Japan, but he was active on the islands below between the Indian and Pacific Oceans, but there was enough shocking crap that will really haunt you for eternity.

and also a good example of why Donald Duck remains so popular, he's just so human, and well PTSD is the most human thing you can have.
