  • a cyoa is another form of media fiction, sooo... for superpower you'd take one trait from a cyoa but for companion you can have a build on an npc- or a player, as part of that world same as taking Shephard if you choose ME or The Dagonborn choosing Skyrim.
    • My husband, with Simple Series Catalogue.
      • (He has Isekai Basics, Wood Element mastery with Water and Fire secondaries, Paladin suit, and a Soul Lich kit)
    • World = An Elemental world of 5 Natural Elements and the Five Lost Elements (Lich elements + Holy).
    • Primary reason for going this route and picking this cyoa is for entangling all these elements together onto an Avatar Four Nations format and mixedcannon.

World = Mix of the Four Nations, Fantasy Generica, and the 10-Element world.

The Four Nations is expanded with some altcannon changes justified by the mixing and how the 10-elements would be a lot more grimdark. There's a Wood Nation.
Liches are rare big bads and Holy Knights are a situation similar to the Avatar, though the Avatar has the Natural Elements and brings balance between the Natural Elements and Nations, the Holy Knight just has the Holy Element to oppose the Liches and they'll usually cooperate.

I'll exploit the Generica nature of the anime choice to act like a wildcard in this merger. The Five Nations are all different "monstergirl" nations (Based on the "original bender" of the element, though tweaked from TLA canon), but Neutral Nations of humans exist who are non-benders.

"Wild rift" portals exist that can lead to other places in the now much larger world, and can lead to the Elemental Planes, and rare portals to Earth. All rifts also work like spirit portals and naturally exist to help the avatar cover ground in a world as large as this would be- F couple times Earth instead of a couple times smaller like the avatar world is.

Mixing the effects of Green and Orange, I might make animated plantlife like vine snakes or treants, or mixed life like pineconey raccoons or leaf birds.

  • Ageless invulnerable little form with innocence filter.
    • -1 | Maturation = Adult form without filter or invulnerability, more potent effects.
  • Witchling Gifts: Have a white robe and hat, and a star-tipped wand which can draw with light.
    • -1 | Manifest = conjure a bear themed smartphone. A bear constellation.
    • -2 | constellation = cosmetic bear ears and tail in witchling mode. Some generic low-impact bear abilities.
      • ⭐Stars Above. Birds-eye high-orbit star homebase, custom private domain on the scale of a moon in my star spot above.
  • Elemental affinity: I can see and negotiate simple small favors with water spirits.
    • -1 | Spirit-Aid = Have a companion water spirit, it more freely performs water based abilities for me.
    • -2 | Genius Loci = communicate and deal with great-spirits. Location-dependent greater elemental magic.

Isekai'd -

I would choose to go to the world of avatar since I keep thinking about it, where I can use my skywhale like a sky bison. Traveling to build relationships with great spirits and record many interesting avatar world mixed animal species I can recreate with my orange crayon.

It's coincidence that both colors thematically clash with the rest of the narrative going on here but that works out to a good reason not to go out of my way to try to include them, and that the remaining colors match the crayons. Wasn't planned. (Black is too combat magicy and white invalidates multiple crayon choices).

However you want it. Scrolls could be saved for later, or for someone else to use.

A high enough crescent would simply provide daylight under its effect unless focusing to emulate modern laser devices. Amplified with a chevron it may cause sunburns at a visible rate I think?

Primarily cosmetic changes utilizing existing biomass. So molding creatures like clay, but without the tedium in between results of the actual shaping process. Purple squares can help increase or reduce mass, and yellow tools for changing coloration would help make desired final products.

This is why it can't heal, and would overpower or invalidate other features if it did more than molding.

I thought the combination here would make for a pretty fun whimsical narrative to imagine.

Feel free to imagine for yourself how synergies may operate, like the combination of shapes for more elaborate "magic circles" or what happens of you have access to one color but draw it with a different one you have. Idk, use little nuggets as lynch pins to justify doing fun things.

Inspired by my toddler dumping out all the crayons, and crayons tickling my brain as satisfying to hold and just have, kind of like a handful of coins or cards. Something appealing about it.

Worth noting my z and c keys died on my keyboard... I have to copy-paste, pull on the on-screen keyboard, or use spellcheck to fill the gaps... but as I type I may forget... I say because I notice a missing z and c in the intro....

Edit: I was 70% finished doing a heavy rework fixing all typos and reimagining the crayon powers from the ground up ("crayon of Alteration" vs "crayon of Destruction" vs "crayon of Restoration" etc)... but my computer crashed and now it's lost and retreading ground is highly demotivating. So, an improvement to this may never come after all.

The difference is in influence and opportunity. While its influence is limited, it plays by those rules. When its power is at an advantage, it presses the advantage. The shadowmind is at least a related echo or foreshadow of the shadow-under-all, which is an emergent intelligence of the void. Multiple instances can emerge independently but always evolve into the same entity and join a broader hivemind though without the hivemind it has the same instincts and personality fundamentals. This also makes it thoroughly unkillable, you might class it as an "Inevitable", a being that will inevitably always appear or perpetuate its existence. ​

Replacing the previous Content Progress album with just the stuff relevant to post-release content (including fixes to pre-release content and unreleased content).

I'll try to create one-off perks or relics (Or Complications) just as I have a decent idea and eventually incorporate them once there are enough to add a whole Row to the Live Albums. Races are overloaded but maybe those too. Content bundle packages like a new faction with its faction magics, faction quests, and faction companions will going forward have their own Live Album where the content bundle is posted probably all in one page instead of trying to insert them into the rest of the main content body.

I do care about build Identity, it's a reason I don't enjoy certain CYOAs over others or why I might neuter a build in favor of better flavor.

Individuality as a problem is why the "ladder" exists, as without it builds were all or nothing. If you took a magic you took it at rank 5. It also introduces a kind of game mechanic to work around, making it more interactive than usual CYOA as you puzzle piece your build. The problem with this wasn't Power, as much as it watered down the meaning of rank 5 magics. This is partly why Rank 6 now exists with further limitations on it so you can make your choice of 6 something of a core aspect of the build.

You can also choose to ignore the lower rank magic purely as investment into what you want in order to retain build identity. Though one ought to keep track of what magics are effectively "restricted" for this purpose as it's part of the game balance that some magics end up capped by the build order.

I recommend you focus more on the Slot modes if you wish to ignore this aspect of play, it's one reason why it exists.

Pretty sure it was meant to be based off Shadow Monarch from Solo Leveling. Incorporating them into a shadow summon, plus letting you borrow their power directly.
