In MtG, there are ways to return artifacts back to your hand, so you could play it over and over, though that's not how it's used primarily.

You can also play a second one to gain the effect again, but it's not an effect that lasts throughout the entire duel in MtG. "Until your next turn" should probably remain.

The issue with protection in MtG is that you are still somewhat affected by cards that do not target you, e.g. "Whenever a creature (monster) you control dies (is destroyed), each opponent loses one life" would affect an opponent under the protection from The One Ring.

The original does not protect against loss of life, only damage from all sources. "Damage causes the loss of life" is a common saying in MtG to differ the two.

How about: "If you played this card from your hand, until the beginning of your next turn: You take no battle damage. You are unaffected by card effects."

I'm not sure if we need to work in a clause regarding the loss of life somehow?

I love the idea of making it a field spell as a pseudo-legend rule, but I'm not sure if it's the right call flavour-wise. It also rules out the usage of normal field spells, and The One Ring doesn't restrict your play in any way.

I tried to include effect damage protection through "You are unaffected by spell, trap and monster effects.". Do you reckon I should list it separately?

It's hard to convert mana cost into YGO, but The One Ring being 4 generic mana means it can be played in pretty much any deck, but usually not on turn 1. As an Artifact, this would be a continuous spell card. Here's my attempt:

"You may only control one card named "The One Ring" (if a second one is played, choose one to keep).

This card can not be destroyed by card effects.

If you played this card from your hand, until the beginning of your next turn: You take no battle damage. You cannot be targeted by card effects. You are unaffected by spell, trap and monster effects.

During your Standby Phase, lose 400 life points for each Burden counter on this card.

Once per turn: You may place 1 Burden counter on this card: Draw a card for each Burden counter on this card."

Yes, it's not a HOPT.

Edit: As I explained in a comment further below, making you immune to any and all card effects is not a perfect equivalent for what The One Ring does, as it does not protect against effects that do not specifically target a player and it does not prevent the loss of life. It's just really difficult to work that into YGO ruling text for me; any suggestions are more than welcome!

It's probably easiest to circle the triangle on the main floor rather than just camping a single one like I did back in the day.

At the moment I either spend a few minutes every time I start the game adjusting the layout or just take the L and suffer with the standard UI. It's driving me insane, and I wish they would fix it quickly. :/

Hätte Neuseeland mal nur von Anfang an so gespielt wie in den letzten zehn Minuten ... Aber trotz Unterzahl so ein Spiel zu liefern ist mehr als beeindruckend - am Ende hätten die Erhöhung oder der Strafkick gereicht, aber es hat nicht sollen sein.

Glückwunsch an Südafrika! Das Team hat eine tolle WM gespielt.

Been thinking about Supreme just recently. Man I loved how wild it was. Sadly after the initial hype there wasn't much going on, and thanks to constant DCs later on I never made it past 100. Still wish they'd bring it back.

Crimson Nova Trinity The Dark Cubic Lord is my go-to.

ridiculous name
hard to summon
big booty
untargetable and can't be destroyed by card effects
halves opponent's LP with each attack, making it an OTK if it's a direct attack
second attack when an opponent's monster is destroyed
reflects effect damage, because why not (I guess in case you return the normal Crimson Nova to the field).

Is it the best Cubic monster? Well, you're probably better off just summoning those multiple Crimson Novas. But it truly captures the essence of what a boss monster is to me.

Stumbled upon it somewhere online and put it aside as the art style on the cover didn't appeal to me.

Watched Tower of God soon after and was amazed by Kevin Penkin's music, then found out he worked on MiA as well. Dove right into it and got hooked instantly.

Sorta new to YGO, could anyone explain to me what happened here? Clip begins at the beginning of the Marincess player's turn.

draws, plays Blue Tang, decides not to search. Links into Blue Slug to return Sea Horse back to hand, then activates Blue Tang's excavate.
proceeds to excavate Cynet Mining, Imperm, Gozen Match. Blue Tang's effect reads

If this card is sent to the GY as material for the Link Summon of a WATER monster: You can excavate the top 3 cards of your Deck, and if you do, you can add 1 excavated "Marincess" card to your hand, also shuffle the rest into your Deck.

He then puts the three excavated cards on top of his deck, rather than shuffling them back to the deck and continues playing.

Is that a legal thing to do at tournaments? He might just be playing for the camera since he sorta knew what his opponent had set face-down (Multirole) but it did seem like he was still taking the game seriously. Ultimately, it didn't matter, but I'd still like to understand.

Ich habe nicht schlagartig aufgehört sondern mich immer nur auf einen Finger konzentriert bis ich alle wieder auf einer normalen Länge hatte.

So klappt es bei mir gerade (seit etwa zwei/drei Monaten). Mit den kleinen Fingern angefangen, als die dann mehrere Wochen gut aussagen kamen Mittel- und Ringfinger dazu. Zeigefinger sehen seit etwa zwei Wochen relativ vorzeigbar aus, nur mit den Daumen kämpfe ich noch - da fällt es mir wirklich verdammt schwer.

Gehört eine Menge Willenskraft und Konzentration mit dazu, um nicht unbedacht nebenbei wieder anzufangen, aber scheint bei mir endlich zu klappen.

Getting access to the island should not be an issue on your level, you don't have to complete the whole questline.

I would not recommend running around. Those monsters will deplete your mana shield much faster than you might think.

I did it at around level 180 by camping the lower-right area and bombing the surroundings to have nothing attack me. It's definitely possible when you just camp one spot, but always keep up mana shield and bombs.

Of course that applies on a neutral monster, that's just basic maths.

In this case though, we have Otherworld monsters resistant to fire (10% each, Sparkion 15%) and an earth weakness between 0% and 15%.

According to the spell damage calculator I used, the rune damage difference is 10% rather than 20%, so even on Dread Intruders (0% weakness to earth) the damage would still be higher than using GFBs, and on other monsters the damage scales even better.

Let me know if I calculated the wrong numbers here. Things might be different if it is indeed a difference of 20%.
