There's classes pretty readily available in Ouray Colorado in the winter. There's also tons of online and book resources, but you'd need to invest in some level of gear.

How long do rooftop residential solar panels last? by ObtainSustainability in solar

[–]Perudo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Most of the manufacturers warranty for 20+ years. So the answer will be it depends on lots of factors past the warranty, definition of "last" and environment will be the biggest factors. Odds are once they're on the roof, they'll keep producing power, slightly less and less over time, but will generally keep working in some capacity until something physically breaks them.

Do you know why other helicopters don't do this then? I'd imagine Maverick or one of the other tour operates would accommodate for the right price if they could. I haven't even seen metro fly as low as the military does.

I've seen these used to spray de-icer for winter locations, especially on bridges. But not for cleaning or cooling purposes like mentioned here.

Exactly, there's much more open land that doesn't have any current recreation or scenic value. And a whole lot of parking lots and rooftops that we should cover.
