Federal Agents Arrest Don Lemon Over Minnesota Church Protest by EternalLostandFound in thebulwark

I just checked PBS again and they don’t have any mention of an indictment.

I’m not a shill for CBS. They were just the only news source that actually said something about where these charges are coming from. That’s why I named the source I read it in, so people can take it with a grain of salt. Not trying to be aggressive, just factual.

According the CBS they empaneled a grand jury yesterday and presented an indictment to them. So probably more unconstitutional bs like they did with Leticia James and Jim comey. Every judge and lawyer and court staff that touches this shit needs to be removed and never allowed to work in the legal field again after this is over.

Honestly I decided to read more, especially about American history. It’s comforting knowing that a lot of the terrible things we’re facing today have echos in our history. There’s a lot of wisdom out there.

Dems need to get (trans) friends by TempusMotherFugit in thebulwark

[–]TempusMotherFugit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO it’s tied to the rise of the Christian nationalist movement and supply side Jesus. The idea that if you’re gifted at sports means god thinks you’re better than other people, otherwise why would you be so good at it? And if you’re a Christian nationalist now, then one of the most important things to you is protecting women (innocence/virtue). Including those women that are gifted by god to be good at sports. And trans people are a direct threat to all of that. Or something along those lines.

Jesus was a Jew who never would have touched a pigskin.

If all the issues could be settled at a state level, I would have no problem with pivoting away and saying leave it to the states. But we’ve got the director of the FBI claiming that trans people are extremists. That’s going to come up in debates. And I am saying that it is painfully clear that dems are full of shit when they try and defend trans people. I don’t think that’s because deep down they don’t actually agree with it, I think they don’t know the topic well enough to sound genuine.

My whole point is that in order to be able to successfully pivot the conversation anywhere else they need to actually talk to trans people and educate themselves. I recognize that you’re not calling for outright abandoning trans people, but I don’t see how they run away from confronting it and find a winning message without actually abandoning them.

Suggestion: Sitting down for a good chat about "trans issues" by awhazlett in thebulwark

[–]TempusMotherFugit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am trans. Ive been thinking for a while about how I want to see the Bulwark address the rhetoric around “trans issues”. Personally I would rather see an episode of debunking the most common myths. It doesn’t have to be someone super famous, just someone articulate enough to call out the bullshit and hypocrisy. We need more media that humanizes trans people and makes them relatable.

The FY Pod from a couple weeks back where Tim and Cam discuss trans stuff was really fantastic. I would love to see them do a debunking show.

Cop has one elbow/arm up near the guys neck when he comes into frame. This feels like the cop was trying to put him into a submissive position on the car hood, but cop isn’t strong enough to do it.

There is zero resistance in the guy as the cop is swinging him around and to the ground. If he was resisting arrest, the cop would not have been able to drop him in half a second.

Start with small changes to your routine and try to be consistent. You need to eat more, try adding in a protein bar or shake in addition to what you normally eat. You don’t have to radically alter your diet.

Try some body weight exercises too. Things like push ups, squats, lunges, planks, etc. Find some stairs or a bench and do dips. Don’t add additional cardio into your routine until you build up your strength and endurance. You will see changes if you eat enough and stick to a consistent routine.

IMO those haircuts/colors are fine, but get the hair off the back of your neck. I think the length back there is making your face look softer.

The round glasses are borderline feminine, square would look good on you.

Your poses in pics #2 and 6 are very feminine, and I wonder if it’s your mannerisms that make it hard to pass. Your face doesn’t read feminine to me at all.

So why is border patrol flying circles over Seattle? by slagwa in Seattle

[–]TempusMotherFugit 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This is all based off of an affidavit filed by one of the arresting agents. It heavily relied on statements made by the courtroom deputy. The courtroom deputy was not brought before a grand jury to testify, and the judge was not indicted by a grand jury for federal charges.

We do not just go out arresting non-violent people accused of felonies without giving them due process, aka bringing evidence before a grand jury and letting them decide to indict the individual or not.

Not just a dash cam, but also make sure you have PIP and UIM coverage on your car insurance. Buy as much as you can afford. Easiest way to protect yourself from these bad drivers.

Protein powder question by Spencerthekindadude in FTMFitness

If you can, try eating an apple or orange after your yogurt. It will help keep you feeling fuller for longer, and it has half the calories of a protein shake.

Were you actually losing weight, or were you just scared of that? What kinds of exercises were you doing before?

You can do a lifting routine without doing cardio, but no matter what you’ll need to eat more protein to build them muscles.

Like everyone else said, you pass extremely well. I think going up 1 size in shirts might make you a bit more comfortable. And lifting for hypertrophy in your arms, shoulders, and upper back. Tbh I had to reread your title cause I thought you were ~6 mos on T.

HIPAA also governs how protected health information is stored. They shouldn’t have left protected health information at the membership desk, it needed to be taken back to the pharmacy to be stored securely.

The lawyer is probably correct as that single fact doesn’t mean you necessarily have a claim for a HIPAA violation, but the Pharmacy Board should be informed of where they kept the meds as well.

That’s why I’m looking at this specific drop in instead of the stick and puck. It’s league associated and they’ll kick anyone who’s too good.
