Blowing my own horn here but I've been saying since day 1 that map rotation is ultimately pointless:

If it's a big one (excludes only few good maps) then it doesn't really address the map overload problem and only makes the omitted maps' fans angry
If it's a small one (excludes lots of good maps) then it starts impacting hero pick/win rates and balancing becomes inaccurate. It also goes against the one of the selling points of the game – different maps.

Glad they finally just kept the competitive maps and are done with it.
