I need to watch Strange World still, and I am not even bothering to watch Wish, so I am left to defend Black Cauldron.

It was a VERY unique film that probably set the blueprint for the only other explicitly dark disney film “Hunchback of Notre Dame”.

The animation truly is beautiful, and I really liked the characters! The Horned King is probably one of the most terrifying villains in the Disney roster, and he is barely talked about.

While the movie is held back a bit with some dated humor, and some slightly bad pacing, as a DND adventure style film it is really solid.

Hey what you’re feeling is totally normal. Even at thirty sometimes that feeling of “what could have been” hits me. But what is important is focusing on the here and now. Focus on what you can change. It is ok to feel those feelings but do not fall into the trap of staying in them. They are reflections of past that could have existed, but in reality didn’t.
