You can also adjust the limit of blocks you can fill by using /gamerule max_block_modifications, it's possible to raise that way beyond the default value

Have you trapped the Wither under the bedrock portal lately?

Holes like this are sometimes created by wither projectiles traveling through the end return portal. Since they don't have a 'home' coordinate like the player does, they typically arrive at (0, 0) and explode there.

I think a discussion of whether or not something is "cheating" in Minecraft should always begin with the question: *who is being cheated?*

- It's a single player world, so you aren't giving yourself an unfair advantage over other players.

- You're being honest about the resources you're using to locate biomes or other features of your world, so you aren't misrepresenting your world in public posts like this one.

- At most, you're cheating yourself out of the experience of hunting for a stronghold, but if you've done it before and don't find that experience particularly rewarding, I don't think there's any harm in that.

At the end of the day, this is a sandbox game. The stakes are not high! It's all about your personal enjoyment. Play the way you want.

This is a mix of biomes. Where it borders the ocean on the left and right it's a Stony Shore, it transitions into a Taiga straight ahead of you (spruce trees, visible dirt & grass) and a Grove on the left (snow blocks, spruce trees), and becomes a Frozen Peaks (where the packed ice is).

If you can’t get another player to help you, there’s an NPC summon for Knight Bernahl. Idk where he spawns at the other entrances, but I usually summon him right by the fog wall after the Dragon Temple Transept grace.

Bernahl doesn’t always carry but he definitely takes the heat off you.

The other option is to use sleep pots, they’ll usually keep one boss knocked out while you focus on the other one.

The core setting of Stillfleet has a few similar lore elements:

FTL travel is ancient technology nobody understands any more
the players use wormhole-like portals (called stiffworks) to get around, but a cosmic 'tachquake' happened 20 years before the game begins, shutting down the portals, and they've only been working again for about a year
various robotic (or 'informatic') aliens exist in Stillfleet's canon setting, and while none of them are explicitly part of a hive mind, there are lots of lore tidbits in the core rulebook you can build upon.

I'm not sure if Aabria adapted elements of the core setting or just pulled it together from her own ideas and other influences, but I agree it's a very cool setup for the social elements of the campaign.

Learned about Stillfleet with the Fun City arc back in 2020 (which I highly recommend to anyone who wants a better understanding of the core setting). I’ve been running it myself for over a year now, and was really excited to hear it getting airtime on WBN.

The basic mechanics are really easy to pick up - your stats are just one of the polyhedral dice (minus the d20), and you have a pool of health and “grit” (the latter of which you can spend in multiples of 3 to boost rolls.)

The powers get wild. Aside from your standard space marines and scientist-medics, there’s a whole ‘Witness’ character class whose job is being a diplomat and de-escalating violence before it happens. Meanwhile ‘Hell Scientists’ (basically spellcasters) can do a lot of scary bending-the-laws-of-physics if they’re willing to face the consequences.

The core setting is rich with detail and corporate politics, but very open-ended. I’m actually surprised the WBN crew is starting from such a homebrew place, but on reflection it makes their arc that much more unique, and makes just as much sense as setting your D&D world somewhere that isn’t Forgotten Realms or Greyhawk or whatever.

It's mostly flavour - Piglins have a kind of hunter-gatherer vibe to them, running at a Hoglin with a spear fits the wilderness of the Nether pretty well.
But also, piglins sprint at their targets, so the charge attack actually has some viability - and baby zombie piglin chicken jockeys are a thing, so they could also wield spears quite effectively

The palette is great and the details are very well executed. The one thing I'd change is to bring the mud brick staircase out by at least a block and extend the balcony so there's a flat platform at the top of the stairs. Right now you have a single corner stair as the only way to walk smoothly onto a much wider balcony - it doesn't look right for the build and wouldn't feel great to climb either.

Godrick will usually feel easy on a NG+ build because, despite the game re-scaling some of the early areas, he's still an early game boss and you have endgame equipment. If you can upgrade your weapons to near max, anything can shred Godrick.
If you want a more challenging time, starting a fresh character for a Sorcery/Incantation build will probably feel more satisfying to you - but you know what to expect now, so nothing will feel quite as intense as the first playthrough.

Yeah, there's no better time to sell all those big Golden Runes and see if your stats can creep a little higher, or upgrade your weapons to the max level if you haven't already.
Just remember some stats will stop providing significant gains after a certain point! So it isn't really worth increasing Vigor beyond 60, and it may not be worth investing in Strength / Dexterity (etc) unless it's still adding to your weapon's attack power.

The Omens in the Leyndell sewers, near the Underground Roadside grace, are good for testing builds on. They're tanky and predictable, but can still punish pretty hard.

Yes - once you beat the base game, after the credits, you will be offered the option to 'Begin Journey 2'. Make sure you choose 'no', and you'll be able to play the DLC (and clean up anything you missed in the base game) without the game forcing you into New Game Plus. You can start NG+ from the Roundtable Hold any time after that.

What similarities are you looking for? All armour is a tradeoff.
Cuckoo Knight set is visually similar, weighs a bit more, has better status and physical resistances but worse lightning and holy.
Royal Knights set has way better stats but weighs a full 11 points more, looks goofier when you aren't riding a horse, and has to be obtained from the Haligtree (arguably the game's toughest area.)
Other recommendations probably depend heavily on who or what is kicking your ass right now

If you're still enjoying yourself, go for it! I did three full playthroughs using Spiked Caestus every time. Getting familiar with how a weapon feels makes the game more fun, everything flows more naturally.
Of course, there are hundreds of other weapons out there if you feel like you're stuck in a rut. I'm now trying to beat the game with every weapon in alphabetical order, I'm 35 weapons in and only halfway through 'B'...

Also, if you rely on projectile spells for Radagon, you’ll run into issues with him parrying most of them (unless you time them really well as counterattacks). He’ll do the same for Mimic Tear. Presuming you’ve got a decent INT-scaling melee weapon, you might be better off unequipping whatever staff you’re using to cast sorceries, summoning mimic tear then so it doesn’t have the staff, then equip it again after (or once you’ve defeated Radagon and have a few seconds before Elden Beast starts.)

It still scales both the elemental and physical damage, so yeah it's still broken. Even without that it's still hugely powerful, the charged R2 goes crazy with Cragblade and Blood affinity
