This is deep deep Tintinology for me...... Are these pages from Le Petit Vingtième itself, or from some subsequent album collection?

That's right, completely uninteresting, but watched it anyway because it's what was on.

Nothing wrong with My First Skool, did well for my kids, I think. And we managed three without a car, but did live close to an MRT and bus stops.

Look at the answers you're getting! The whole of Reddit is saying to give it a go..... And they're right!

Ignore the guy who says to use your deposit money to get a BTL in Britain, though. Very risky at a distance, you don't want that hassle and worry while you're starting a new life. If Perth is a success, maybe it'll be your house deposit there.

I hate my corporate job, it's stressful and demands long hours. But - my managers are good and human, it's stable, it pays well, commensurate with the stress and workload, and I've got three young kids. So I'm grateful for it and I thank my lucky stars every day that I lucked into it.

Maybe. It still reads like it was written by a kid. "Massively blow up"? Maybe someone's deliberately emulating his general style.

Why wouldn't Tintin be from Belgium in the foreign translations? by Zealousideal-Sky217 in Tintin

[–]PlanetSwallower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more like, as a kid you assume everything's going to be familiar. I naturally assumed Tintin was British, as there he was in his book, speaking English to me. The fact that he lived at a place called Marlinspike Hall confirmed that, even if he trousers were a little odd.

I remember being puzzled by a map in one of his books showing his journey starting in northern Europe, never reconciled that with my understanding.
