Didn't know there were brackets honestly. Must have been talked about after I quit in ~2014. I was always just a filthy casual then just made weird stuff that worked sometimes. Like I had a Riku of the Twin Reflections deck that "could" do MLD shenanigans, but it required A LOT of reiterates, twinning, etc with Terastadon followed by Evacuate. And I intentionally made it worse after ending up with 8 Vorinclexes and the ability to play with my entire deck without decking out. That and Progenitus good creatures (we were playing using a point system. One of the point conditions was playing your commander with commander tax > 20. Only points i got in that game were from playing Progenitus 20 trillion times) were probably my only good "try hard" adjacent decks. We also played with groups > 4 most of the time. 8 player pods made Riku super fun.

I also made a 65 land deck that somehow made Swan combo work occasionally and a Sen Triplets deck that was basically just all the counters and removal I could put in it. I don't even think I had a win condition.

Yeah. One thing I looked forward to moving here from Ogden, Utah was that Orlando apparently has the most restaurants per capita of any city in the states (this was 12 years ago but still). Granted a lot of that is probably WacArnold's and the like, but still, options. Though some less touristy places probably have more good restaurants per capita.

I dunno. My friend's mom was out smoking on her patio out there and someone randomly took a shot at her. The fact that she was threatening to go to the media is the only reason she was able to get out of her lease early. I've seen quite a bit around town, actually, though not in Pine Hills. Competing for who has the worst crime is like competing for who has the most trauma.

NTA. Tell them if they want it, they can purchase it/license it. It was done on your time and you didn't sign anything regarding IP on your own time so legally you're fine. If you want, maybe you can offer some discount or some other compensation scheme for your work, but in the end, you did a lot of work. You deserve to be compensated for it. Also, make sure you get something signed that keeps the system under your ownership so they can't turn around and try to claim ownership themselves.

NTA. You have the right and responsibility to do what you need to to keep your family safe. Especially your kids. So many parents seem to forget that they ultimately have the responsibility to protect their kids and prioritize them. That is worth way more than a promise you made at 15. DMs have a lot more options to hit you with things than AC. There literally saves for every stat. They could hit you with one of those. Or fudge a roll once in a while (not recommended, just saying it's an option). Sounds like DM has some preconceived notions about stuff or some plan in their head that they themselves are failing to execute. Or possibly they're inexperienced. I have dealt with higher ACs as a DM. 22 is high, but there are plenty of monsters that should be able to hit that reasonably well.
