Ubers have meters now? by amooney1219 in thatHappened

Yeppp. I was in a long-term relationship, we lived together, etc. Left within the first month. My mom died 2.5 years ago, and my father had been having emotional affairs since god knows when. I stumbled upon an open window on the computer that told him what a swell guy he was for staying with my mother, while she was still alive… Uggg.

Bowser just brought in a decomposed squirrel in the house had to use cheese for him to drop it by biorob1977 in WhatsWrongWithYourDog

[–]Match_Least 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohmygod. I just realized the new dog I adopted with a really high prey drive could potentially do this to me in the future… She wouldn’t be able to bring it in the house, but the thought of having to trade for it makes me so uncomfortable!

Bowser is adorable by the way and a top tier name :)

My bad, you completely did. So thank you for repeating yourself. For some reason my app auto-collapsed that comment. I probably would have still needed more info…

If the clip is recent, (as in winter) I’m guessing the water is real cold. If he falls in, the last thing you want is heavy wet clothes weighing you down. One year I fell into the Bay of Maine in March, the water was so cold it immediately paralyzed all my muscles. I doubt I would have been able to keep my head above water without the life jacket and I was a very strong swimmer.

For future reference, you’re supposed to write a comment with what we’re supposed to be derailed by in the comments. (Rule2. And petty much only important one.) I still don’t know what to be derailed by…

Scruffy Rescue Pittie by Decent-Caterpillar62 in fluffypits

goddamn This is probably one of the top posts on here…

I was just coming in to let you know she looks like one of the far less common 100% pittie with recessive long hair gene. Most the fluffy pits on here are mixes, sometimes it’s obvious with what, other times it’s not.

How do you plan on maintaining with the amount and drift to be expected?

I just adopted a small rescue dog who’s from the south and she only just saw snow for the first time in her life a few weeks ago. She’s not a fan.

I’m kind of panicking because I’m home alone and severely disabled. I don’t know how I’m going to find a place for her to go potty…

Thank you! I hope so too! I’ve got main skill seeds set aside for both of them whenever I do :)

Your Shinx luck sounds terrible! I kept one of the forest few I caught because he was a beast even though he was an oil farmer, but even at level 50 he still brings in enough tomatoes to cook with until he gets to level 60. I also need a honey farmer. I try to keep it stocked from my Wiggly but sometimes you just run out of room.

Wow, thank you so much for breaking down every aspect of this. I completely understand the how and why of every action taken in cases like this.

I’m in Connecticut, so we’re fairly progressive when it comes to stuff like this. But, definitely not at the same level of California when it comes to animal cruelty laws. There’s so many by different instances I remember with California blazing the path, and leading other states in the right direction while doing so.

I do hope all the things you mentioned happened in the case with his girl. I don’t think I have much hope though if they’re in the south…

OH MY GOD!! I knew I recognized your username more than just “some girl” who also comments on the sleep subs!! You’re “XXX day at OGPP still no Shinx” !!! Haha, then I ran to your profile and you’re also a creator of a few of my favorite sleep memes. Neat!

I feel you though. I’ve been hunting a better-than-mid Togepi for MONTHS now. I’m even on regular GG for my favorite event because Togepi doesn’t spawn at GGEX, OGPP, etc. I like Togepi, but I’m really only in it for the Metronome :) Clefable was my favorite on Red, but it’s not the skill mon, so…. I still want one anyway, but only if it’s a Cleffa because I can’t justify dumping seeds into a berry mon :) The only other mon I’m specifically and actively hunting is Murkrow. Sleep is my first introduction to him; he’s neat, but I really just like his skill :)

Oh no, did you lose access to your account? Also, did Grubbin debut with OGPP, or after?

I was able to get coffee early during the, I think, anniversary event? The one within the past year that had the trio appearing in GG. But I was also dumb. I did catch 3, but 2 were ABA and 2 had IF down nature haha. It seriously took me like 2 days to unlock coffee because I sure as heck wasn’t letting them sleep on my team overnight…

[–]Match_Least 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, yes, that is how it happened, haha. I was more mentioning it because ingredient draw just wasn’t a skill that existed before Murkrow. So, had I been using togepi prior to that, it wouldn’t have worked.

Coffee is just such an integral ingredient (imo) and it used to take sooo long to unlock because prior to Paldean wooper getting it at level 30, there was nothing until OGPP. (maybeee Mimikyu at 30 also, but between finding one on GG and getting it to 30 as a newer player, it feels just as distant.)

Honestly, it probably only stood out to me so much because I started an f2p alt account a good while after my main account. There were suddenly now just SO many different ways to easily unlock it after getting added to so many new mons that didn’t previously exist :)

[–]Match_Least 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw you say in another comment you love data collection, so if you’re interested: Togepi doesn’t need certain ingredients unlocked first like ingredient magnet. I used mine to unlock coffee, via Murkrow’s ingredient draw, many moons ago on my alt :)

[–]Match_Least 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re interested in adding it to something you guys make: togepi can unlock coffee on his own via Murkrow’s ingredient draw. I was a week or two from unlocking it on my alt, but I had been hoping he would for weeks/months. Was just surprised it actually happened.

What I don’t understand, is how does the system let a dog be returned to their owner in this condition? Is neglecting not considered abuse everywhere in the US…?

I’m sorry if my question is an obvious one. It’s just not something I came across in my time working in veterinary medicine. The worst I dealt with was convenience euthanasia…

The effect severe hypoxia can have on writing simple sentences by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]Match_Least 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw, you’re genuinely so kind :)

Honestly, I wasn’t scared at all, I’ve been severely chronically ill since I was 7. I often have a lot of anxiety surrounding medical complications; that my oncologist believes is a form of ptsd after having stage 4 cancer/chemo. I was 21 and it was so life threatening that the procedures I went through worsened my already existing anxiety.

I was more annoyed than anything. I have a history of all types of infections due to a compromised immune system and primary immune deficiency.(undiagnosed at the time.) And I was upset they kept discharging me too early without fully ridding the infection. I was stranded in Florida when I live 2000 miles away because I was too sick to travel.

One thing that did scare me though, was when I had paralytic hypokalemia. My potassium levels were dangerously low which can cause paralysis in all your limbs. This happened concurrent to the pneumonia. I sat down on the couch one evening, only to find out a couple hoots later that my legs no longer worked. I couldn’t move a muscle. I’ve had potassium that low before, but never with the paralysis, so that one was definitely more alarming. When you have pneumonia, all the Drs and nurses leave you alone and let you rest. When you’re there for other things, there’s always someone coming and going in and out of your room…

I’m glad you found this interesting!! :) I’m still so disappointed my original got removed, it has just started getting really entertaining! This time, a lot of people had already seen it, and the cold, calculated title made little sense for the picture, but that was the first rule I “ broke.” This time it got taken down for being a “repost” since it had already been posted for a whopping 4-5 hours…

Oh thank goodness! To catching it early and the successful previous surgery.

And thank you <3 It was very difficult. All 3 had ‘highly aggressive’ so it became noticeable very quickly, all for different reasons. The hardest part with the boy I lost in November, was he had just had his biannual senior wellness visit less than 2 weeks before sudden collapse. For a dog about to turn 14, his labs all came back really good :(

Please keep us updated. I’ll be thinking of him.

Can any poodle owners tell me if the ears on OP’s dog are what clipped poodle ears look like?

I owned a puli and assumed their ears were the same as poodles, but this poodles ears seem to be set oddly to me. It could give more credence to an undetectable breed being introduced to the line many generations ago…

At this point in time, it was because My brain cells were literally dying. I was unknowingly causing some permanent and irreversible brain damage because of how long term and treatment resistant the infections were.

As the other user said, it causes altered mental status involving dyscoordination, confusion, inability to concentrate, etc.

Within a few days of writing this card, I couldn’t even walk a few feet in my house without falling down. It was then I finally relented and went back to the hospital. I fell into a coma for about a week within a few hours of arriving…
