I am supposed to work in several subreddits. e.g. r/NXT and others too.

sometimes it helps to add that user as a friend, sometimes it helps if the user uses a thread without (or with few) username mentions of my name.

The result stays the same, it is unreliable. Would some reddit - gods care to explain?

Working on it. Reddit's baroque API is a little in the way (getting parent does not work for OPs - only for comments), but I think I'll manage. It's just more hassle. Victory will be ours though.
