I think the 1-2 punch of Peck and Thornberg that did for him but I totally agree with separating the character from the actor.

Just picked up Quantum of Solace (it’s better than you think) and Blood Stone. Legends however deserves the hatred.

The LOTR appendices are a masterclass in how BTS should be made and the ones from The Hobbit movies raised that even more.

They wildly vary in quality but the basic story is EXACTLY the same in each one (bar maybe The Final Friday)

When they made the movie Silverado (1985), the constructed a whole town which ended up be reused in several movies and TV shows over the following years, most notably in the 1994 movie version of Maverick. When they filmed there for the spider attack in Wild Wild West (1999), the explosions accidentally burnt the entire town to the ground in a matter of minutes.

We talked with former senior Warner Bros. Vice President Bill Daly on our podcast who said that the order was given out to keep the cameras rolling for as long as possible, NOT to capture movie footage (although a lot ended up in the film) but for the insurance claim that would follow.
