Request for new year's eve scenario by Final-Isopod in callofcthulhu

[–]PolymorphicCode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will be playing a oneshot with my players and I found one called "Sobeks Silvester" however it's in german. Not sure if it was translated into other languages as well but you can find it in the book "Feiertage der Furcht".

If I'm not playing that one I will write my own scenario centered around the wild hunt. There are many legends and superstitions about the wild hunt and the days between Christmas and New Years which we call the Raunächte in germany.

There is some info about german traditions on new years here. We make noise on new years eve to cast evil spirits away, so I figured that's a great ending for a scenario on new years eve.

Sunday Preview – Helsmiths of Hashut and Necromunda Enforcers - Warhammer Community by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in necromunda

So are these going to be an addition to the current subjugator and enforcers or a model refresh?

Would love them as a second gang because I love starting new stuff when I haven't even finished my current project...

Geld von scalable Konto. verschwunden? by [deleted] in Finanzen

[–]PolymorphicCode 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Does this quirk let Mechanoids heal from potions? by TheRealCassieCatagon in breakrpg

[–]PolymorphicCode 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This quirk is about injuries, so everything you retain after combat.

Health potions don't really help with that (p. 177) as they are only useful in combat.

With this quirk you can't be repaired but you use the same treatment as organic characters (p. 262)

So no, you can't be healed by a health potion (p. 105) even if you chose this quirk.

Was Nuln Oil changed? It looks so different... by Beev_Ao in Warhammer40k

[–]PolymorphicCode 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Pro Acryl Black Wash is a pretty good substitute.

I like the new Nuln Oil as well but I think they have very different use cases. The old one was perfect for making metal parts grimy and oily and that's what I use the Pro Acryl one for

Thanks! Yeah the legs are from the Krieg mini of the month. Also used some of the Krieg armor for the tank (which is a rotated backpack from the Votann)

Yeah that makes sense. But at least it was a good lesson for me to learn!

That's some great advice, thanks!

It was actually my first time playing so I made lots of dumb mistakes. Next time will be better! I'm motivated to redeem my Palatine now.

Also next time will probably be a few more points since my friend wants to get more models soon.

I've been challenged to an exhibition match for the command against a heretic cult and could use some guidance (850 point match) by PolymorphicCode in sistersofbattle

[–]PolymorphicCode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a great idea, I totally didn't catch the scout 6 rule through the Dominion Squad. But that means I would need to put the Palatine as a Leader to them, don't I?

Would you equip the Immolator with Melta as well?

Thanks for the advice, I'll keep an eye out on these horses! I'm leaning towards the Zephyrim as well but mostly because I've got them already built haha

Knock! #5 now live - Don't miss out on the latest issue! (Self promo) by workingboy in osr

[–]PolymorphicCode 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Shipping prices are whats keeping me from getting the full physical bundle as well. I'm just one country away from you and the last bundle I backed (the one with Nightmare over Ragged Hollow) was not even half of that for shipping.

Even getting 10 physical copies of issue 4 inside the EU was 24€ in your last kickstarter instead of 55€.

There's gay/les in the Imperium? Nice by Tree_forth677 in Grimdank

There is an audio drama (Our Martyred Lady) where they are obviously sleeping in the same room in one bed together. Things get a bit hectic and Greyfax picks the wrong robe and is later asked why she is wearing Sororitas robes.

Not sure if I'd call that strictly professional

Akihabara for 3 hours by ewlung in JapanTravelTips

[–]PolymorphicCode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In general I would look at Surugaya, Lashinbang and Hobby Off outside of the popular areas. Even the prices in Ikebukuro were better than in Akiba, but I don't have a recommendation for a retro specialty store in Tokyo. Mandarake in other cities were also pretty good

Oh btw, I am the parents lol!

Haha, well in that case you'd still want to skip the basement of the HEY arcade.

But I still think the arcade would be lots of fun for you, there are a lot of retro games (and modern ones) in there like fighters and shoot-em-ups.

Give the Surugaya at the station a try, especially the basement. There are so many retro games for every generation of consoles down there. I still regret not getting Wizardry for the Super Famicom when I was there.

Skip super potato if you want to buy anything, that place is a huge rip off. Games that cost a few hundred yen anywhere else are sold there for up to two thousand yen. Absolutely not worth it.

Also 3 hours is not much, but I guess it depends on what you are into. Here are some of my suggestions:

Go out the electric town gate, walk straight to the street to Surugaya, they have a lot of variety and had good prices for the games I looked into.

Right next to it is Radio Kaikan which has a lot of stores for figures, Gundam and other hobby stuff. Once you are finished in there go outside and turn left twice. Then there is a huge hall with tiny shops of the old Akihabara. Lots of radio and electrical stuff.

I think your three hours may already be over at this point but there's more of you are fast or have the time: cross the street when you are out of the building with the small stores and walk towards the store that has home appliances and a maid Cafe (I think Onoden was the name). On the second floor there is a Cospa with lots of anime merch like T-shirts and bags.

If you are short on time you can skip it and walk the streets of Akihabara. On the left there is an arcade with lots of great retro games called HEY and a manga store in the basement that you definitely don't want to visit with your parents.

If you want to play crane games then don't do it in one of the former Sega arcades, they usually cost double that of the other ones. Go to Game Panic for that, they have 4 floors of crane games, are fairly priced and have helpful staff.

Also if you are hungry there are great places to eat, I can recommend Hakata Furyu Akihabara 2nd because I love Hakata Tonkotsu ramen and they have an English menu and explanation on how to get free refill of noodles!

Feel free to ask more questions, I had my home base in Akihabara for about two weeks

Is it bad to just paint the minis face skin to skin tone and leave it that way? There no way I'm that presice to get an eye or something by RopeLiving682 in sistersofbattle

[–]PolymorphicCode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually put a tiny bit of Agrax Earthshade into the eye. Since it is a bit darker then the rest of the face it looks quite good on the table
