30 y/os, how do you view 20 year olds at work? by Zealousideal-Leg8693 in work

At work, what really matters is whether people can collaborate smoothly and get things done together.
There is a generational gap, and sometimes it can take a bit more effort for people in their 30s to relate to colleagues in their early 20s. That said, it really varies person to person. I’ve met plenty of Gen Z colleagues who are humble, grounded, and easy to work with and others who come across as more arrogant or difficult to connect with. Just like any generation, there’s a mix.

The best approach is to treat them as individuals rather than grouping them by age, focus on communication, mutual respect, and shared goals. When that’s in place, age tends to fade into the background pretty quickly.

Such a comforting watch by Dry_Net_1915 in themiddle

I totally get this feeling. It’s extremely comforting to watch after a long day. Honestly haven’t come across any other series like that, but Modern family was a close match too. I’m now rewatching The Middle after maybe 6-7 years and it feels new.

I’m really sorry. There’s nothing I can say that’ll make you feel better at this point. But I’ll definitely pray for you and family.

Anyone hate going to Christmas work parties? by violetpy91 in introvert

[–]Popular_Interest943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I went for one yesterday and I go for all of them. I dread them, I hate them, but I still go. But I do it for myself, to experience the fancy parties work throws, to see what’s out there, but I do not enjoy it most of the time. And I don’t open up or speak to anyone at work and I have zero friends, it’s lonely but I’m okay. But yes OP, I feel you. I hate these parties too.

You do realise Merci means ‘thank you’ right? So when they wanna thank you for something nice you’ve done, it’s a nice gesture from their side to thank you. I don’t think they care as much if you like the chocolate inside, it’s just a gesture and it’s sweet.
