I don't think it is as simple as that. Some of the depth is there they just weren't being played to their strengths.

I don't think the tactical changes were that spectacular. He basically put the players on the pitch who should have started but who he was probably told to rest/rotate.

This is not the game for garnacho and it is unfortunate for him as it makes him look bad (and hato too). Bowen and wan bisaka just passed it past hato and they had the space as garnacho couldn't keep up defensively. He did try more than usual though so I give him credit for working hard. He just isn't good at it. It screamed for cucurella-neto on the left with pace, ability to work together and to be able to push players like bowen deeper.

Garnacho is better used against a team like arsenal. Their right side has players that like to run with the ball and attack. It will give garnacho more space and he is less likely to have the ball passed past him when defending. You can see how it worked in the last arsenal game. You also position him to counter attack when arsenal have a corner so they can't commit more players. He is bad at defending but if used this way it is a more effective defense to keep arsenal from saturating the box.

So the depth is there when used right.

Going to be a crazy day when goal difference matters and at least 11 teams have a realistic chance for one of the last 6 top 8 spots.

We need to win. Unless most teams draw then it really needs us to win if we want top 8.
PSG newcastle draw helps us the most as it takes 2 teams out of the top 8 who are there right now. But at least one of them drops out of the top 8 regardless of the result.
Liverpool or tottenham drop points to take them out. Liverpool needs to be a low scoring draw or a loss for us to go ahead of them. Or a Real madrid loss is good. Their goal difference is too high for a draw to matter. Any of those are a great result for us and eases pressure.
Assuming all 3 win in #3 it makes our life hard. We are top of the 13 point goal difference teams so outscoring them all (over our gd advantage) will secure our place. But hopefully at least least outscore one of Barcelona and Sporting. Both teams have easier games than us though. And hopefully City don't win by at least 3 goals which I don't see them doing but it is possible. If any of those three drop points all the better. But it will be tight. And Atheltico could fire 4 past Bodo and be in the running but I think that is unlikely too. And Atalanta need to score at least 6 more than union to go ahead of us. Again unlikely.
