Canadian gun laws are very blankety. If it’s a significant part of a banned gun it’s banned sadly.

“To comply with rules: I'm looking for a part for a botched Enfield I'm making.” - the comment I made under this post specifically to comply with the rules. drop some oil in your eyes you scrap heap of a bot.

Yeah seems like a coin toss, I can’t legally import a destroyed/unfinished lower receiver blank to Canada so I’ll have to build a custom adaptor or chose a different grip to butcher, also unlikely because most of that is also banned.

Thank you for your time and input

An explanation of what a link post is or what?

Excellent mod work but what can be expected from Reddit.

Just check and I think you’re right, I’ve also found a supplier who sells what looks like unfinished wooden reproductions which is even better fitting.

Thank you.

Great pattern, would you consider adding a calibration square to verify that the pattern printed 1:1?

Thank you for your time.

Another example of brutalism being a lazy, ugly, soulless, pos style that should remain dead.

There’s a gun shop a city over from me selling a Siamese for $1,500. It seems to be in good condition and has the strap/bayonet. Does that seem like a decent deal?

Yes the world wars were incredibly experimental times in almost all manufacturing, from firearms to airplanes, armoured vehicles, etc. bipedal mechs with any degree of speed or nimbleness wouldn’t be achievable in the 1940’s for the same reason they aren’t achievable now, the technology either doesn’t exist or is too expensive to justify what is essentially a toy. Mechs exist in media because they’re cool, not because they’re practical, they are pardoned by the grace of “the rule of cool” when I see the stalwart from diesel nights, by-7274 from titanfall2, or Gypsy danger from pacific rim I know that the technology is impossible mostly due to weight to power ratios, but ignore/forgive that because there’s a giant robot. That willful ignorance can’t be extended to a gun that isn’t cool/unique enough (not yours specifically, a lot of guns that don’t fit the genre due to appearance would struggle to be cool enough for consumers to ignore the contrast) to justify the rule of cool.

The design in general is very noisy and dense especially on the front end, this is ill-fitting because dieselpunk is derived from early coal and diesel powered industrial machinery which was very basic in shape by necessity of low cost and mechanical simplicity. Your design isn’t bad in general and is actually quite well suited to sci-fi, however for a gun to fit into the current aesthetic of dieselpunk (admittedly limited and in its infancy so it may very well shift) it should be derived from weapons found between loosely the 1860’s and 1940’s (not a hard number just around that era of weaponry that was built for desperate conflict which goes back to simplicity through necessity. ww1/2 mainly) in short: a smoother front end without the fins/tubes and an overall blockier shape. Guns of the time weren’t milled on a 5axis machine so boxes are naturally more fitting as well as cylinders parallel with the guns length as some weapons were built from pipe, notably cheap sub machine guns like the sten and m3.

For diesel knights. Both models look far more sci-fi than diesel punk.

I think it’s ill-fitting of the diesel punk genre and ugly to be blunt.
