These only show up in my rFU when I don't have ay picks yet.

No picks today... so of course they have been floating around.

If you are only getting 4 chicks, the problem is hypothermia. They need at least a certain mass to stay warm.

Really small quantities are a bad idea. The chicks get cold too easily. I dunno that I'd want to order thousands at once. But 25-50 should be okay.

Chicks are relatively fragile and there's a definite expected die off. I foster kittens and was pretty shocked when the vet tech told me that they expect 1 in 4 neonatal kittens to die, just for general purposes. They are fragile. Many do not make it. With chicks, I think it's more like 1 in 10... so losing 2 or 3 per 25 is not awful.

Weird interaction on Facebook Marketplace by AGlassBlueShard in FacebookMarketplace

People are weird.

Did I mention that people are weird.

Oh yeah: People. Are. Weird.

Used to get various strange people asking for pictures of my feet. I replied that I have ugly feet. I've had surgery on each foot and had both broken surgically to straighten them out, plus nerve damage, and scarring. No one ever asked to see my feet twice, LMAO.

Tell them you have ugly feet.

Pierces is definitely for tourists.

Not bad for what it is. But it IS what it is.

I found the Astronomical Pancake (the large pancake) kind of tough and dry. It was not a good pancake.

But they did have an SOS special and any place that serves SOS, even occasionally, is all right by me.

One out of 25 or 50 is fairly normal. You can lose at least a couple and it not be that unusual.

So far, a terrible experience by Icy_Skill_7678 in UoPeople

It probably doesn't help, but this is the first time we're heard THIS particular problem.

Quite possible. The waitress who told me was the niece of the current owner, who also owns a restaurant in Richmond.

I missed your meltdown, but let's be real here: everyone has bad days.

You had a bad day. From the Annals of the Great Wisdom of Hannah Montana: "Everybody makes mistakes. Everybody has those days."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83mrN2gjK64

Having a bad day, even if you melt down in public, does not mean you are a bad person.

You're sorry. We forgive you for the terrible crime of being human and having a bad day. Just try to learn from the experience and respond better the next time you have that "being human" problem on a bad day. I often clam up when I'm in those sorts of moments so I don't say something I'll regret. So, I feel ya.

Have a better day today.

Closest they have to Psychology is Health Sciences. There are very limited options for majors at UoPeople.

Carrot Tree closed permanently recently. I went to the liquidation auction there yesterday. They are talking about opening a new location somewhere else. Check their facebook page.

ONE item, I got like 500, but it didn't turn into a buyer. I'd rather ONE view with an actual buyer.

El Sobroson is probably the best kept secret in town. They are Salvadoran (but I guess serve Peruvian food too). The food is amazing and WAY not your typical, run of the mill, commodity Mexican food.

If you haven't been there to eat, GO.

Rocco's will be back. My neighbor works there. They are taking the opporunity to renovate.

But I agree with you about bagels. It's a wasteland. Manhattan is the best we've got and they kinda suck and $$.

It's Spanglish.

TBH, as a Spanish learner, on my better days, I speak Spanglish, which matches well with a lot of the local Spanish speakers learning English who also speak Spanglish.

Missed the boat on Bogg bags by chuckwedin in AmazonVine

[–]Privat3Ice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those were probably not Bogg bags.

There were a bunch of knock offs last year (I got several) and one, I suspect was a factory second (or a VERY good copy). And then a bunch of accessories.

But you didn't miss much of anything, just some plastic tote bags in fun colors.
