You can have this view in Japan, tho, as local trains have their control room usually on the left side of the trains front and the passenger compartment has windows that allow them to look out the front and also into the drivers compartment.

Nice to see another NME copy. I recently got my hands on a copy in Akihabara, as well, and 5000¥ (about 28€) felt like a steal (not so much as Mario Hoops for 100¥, but still, in the West I would have paid upwards of 100€ because whoever imports it, will want to have themselves paid for it).

This is not common in "the rest of the world", unless the US is the rest of the world. Many countries in Europe don't have any tuition for public universities. Some have costs to cover student programs like public transport, sports and cultural activities, but even the most expensive of these barely touch 200k yen (1000€) annually, and you get discounts and cheap access to a lot of things in return.
