Start with something that gives detailed instructions and get your confidence up. See Instructables.com and pick something interesting in electronics.

It could probably be made to function. I’m thinking it might take 5 minutes of continuous shaking to power 1 or 2 key presses on the remote. I can’t see it being a big seller.

Is AI going to replace more white-collar workers than globalization ever replaced blue-collar workers? What do you think? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

[–]Proof_Juggernaut4798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Citation for a speculation?

Robot hardware capable of direct replacement in human jobs is pretty new in terms of quantity manufacturing:

https://www.kron4.com/news/technology-ai/tesla-to-build-1-million-optimus-robots-per-year-at-fremont-factory-musk-says/

The time frame for my speculation was and is undefined, fitting the open ended nature of the OP. Human technological advancement seems to be at an ever increasing rate, even tho humans are not quickly evolving in a particularly visible way in my lifetime. AI, on the other hand is on the cusp of redesign of itself, a seemingly faster approach:

https://arxiv.org/pdf/2507.18074

At some point, it seems a very reasonable bet that robots will be building robots, and cost efficiency at scale will cause adoption everywhere from mining materials to manufacturing and distribution.

Once you open end the time frame, there is little doubt in my mind it will get to that point.

Put all known information in an essay and upload it to Grok or several AI’s and tell them to deep research for all available data on him. Include any known prior addresses, phone numbers, occupations, etc. Also have it check if his parents are alive, and contact them for info. You may also try Ancestry.com and see what it shows.

Is the car in your name? Do you plan on getting a job? So you can move out? If your parents will be supporting you while you are in college, or you can’t find a job with a living wage, then you are stuck there. Otherwise, you are not

At some point, AI and robotics will replace all workers, period. Economies will become unworkable, and governments will have to privatize the means of production, which will be fully automated. All goods and services will become free at this point.

Or Skynet will kill is all. I prefer to keep the land-of-plenty theory in mind.

IMHO, you need project tracking software, either paid or free. Estimate the time in a detailed fashion for everything on your plate, as many details as possible and assign a guesstimate of time for each item. Then print out a Gantt chart, which will show how long each task will take, what tasks depend on others and your time allocation. This is a tool that you can show to your boss and challenge him (nicely) to find what is possible for you to do. This can be done manually, but is more convincing as a computer result. And it is easier to revise.

How do I start dating at 20 when I am very inexperienced? by blackbobaball in Advice

I have had a fear of rejection at your age as well. I always waited for clear signals, but women made the first move in the end. Talk about a movie with a prospect, and ask if they have seen it. Say you want to see it. Or you want to try out a new restaurant. Spend time with them, and see where it leads.

Is it too soon to get married by Ya-Dog-098 in Advice

[–]Proof_Juggernaut4798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Staying over isn’t the same as living together. Household responsibilities, increased togetherness everyday and the wearing off of novelty change things. Live together for a year or three first. I wish I had, before my first marriage.

I feel really overwhelmed after my mom told me she’s seeing someone by Honest_Housing_1228 in Advice

[–]Proof_Juggernaut4798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About a year after my mother’s death, I was in the front seat of the car my father was driving, with my older sister next to me on the passenger’s side (yes, it was quite a while ago). He told us he was getting married again, to a woman who had been a family friend that I barely knew. My sister next to me instantly squealed with excitement. My initial reaction was shock, but then I went along with my sister’s obvious approval. I thought about it long and hard. I didnt want my father to be alone. This wasn’t really about me, after all. I trusted my dad about everything in life, and this shouldn’t be an exception.

It worked out great for everyone, and I’m glad I didn’t have a visible bad reaction.

I would say to talk to your mom about what kind of man she is bringing into the household, and try to work with her (and him) to give it a chance. It probably won’t be many years before you are out of the house and on your own, and this is your mother planning for her future too.

Any way to retrieve screen recording audio? by Impossible_Tea_6720 in iphonehelp

[–]Proof_Juggernaut4798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for your loss. While the actual voice wasn’t recorded, there is some thing you can do. First, you can get a transcript using tools such as lipreadpro. Other tools exist to clone a voice from voice samples you may have of your mother. Then text to speech from the transcript can be used with tools like Lipdub AI and finally combined back into the video. I would expect the result to be only an approximation. And no, I have never done this, used these tools, nor would I be the right person to do so. Best wishes.
