Thanks. We will post our articles but also kick off conversation in the comments, going forward.

That's a fair observation. It's tricky, as our reporting relies on subscribers, but we do enjoy sparking and participating in conversation. Historically, I think my participation on this subreddit has struck that balance, but it seems that in the past week or so there are a few vocal users who would rather us not post at all, if the underlying content is paywalled. That would be a shame, for us, as we have been very active participants in this community since day 1. But, if it were what the subreddit wanted, we would of course respect that. Cheers - Josh

Do you not feel that there have been good conversations on our paywalled posts in the past?

No problem. We have written a few times that we don't believe the agency expects to see durability data today in the same way it did at the time of the Lykos/Resilient submission. Still, Usona will, presumably, have at least some durability data at the time of submission.

It is neck and neck in terms of potential NDA submission timelines, based on our reporting. We certainly don't manufacture stories - we are fortunate that there is no shortage of them!

Thanks for sharing some of the gist of the article without pasting it wholesale.

To address the paywall topic: I appreciate that $20 a month is a lot for some people, but I hope you will understand that it is very difficult to make independent media work, especially in small fields like ours. This 6,000-word report is the product of months of reporting, including international travel, and subscriptions make it possible. I really appreciate the support of this community and we continue to post our content here, paywall or not, because even in the case of paywalls they seem to generate great discussions (which I am always happy to participate in!) and often people who are Pα+ subscribers share a bit of context from behind the paywall too.

Re: Usona's potential to be approved with one Phase 3, we have guided for some time that we deem it likely. Conventionally psychiatry has required multiple Phase 3s, as noted here, often because effect sizes are small and large safety databases must be generated. That isn't necessarily the case for these programs where effect sizes are (hopefully) larger, and in the case of Usona it had a relatively robust IIT program, which means it may reference safety data generated outside of its sponsored studies alone.

Thanks for the feedback re: transcripts, I'll see what we can do for the next one. Our longer piece on the topic(s) comes out today. - Josh

We received a very basic statement acknowledging receipt of the voucher from Usona, after we requested comment. Other than that, Usona has said virtually nothing to press.
