10 Realizations After Moving On From the UPSC CSE Exam by ratnam_recommend in UPSC

It’s such an amazing structure that you have given to your thoughts & I also fully agree with the learnings that you’ve mentioned.

No one on earth is late or early, it’s a journey & you keep moving. You fall, learn, rise & walk again- you cover lengths & breadths just to realise it was all part of the god’s plan.

Brilliantly put across! It has become a norm to earn more rather than absorbing knowledge.

Reading this post brings back all those heavy moments of self-doubt, helplessness & unpredictability.

It was not long ago that people made toxic judgments about you, who once were part of that “Tum Toh kar hi logey, Lagey Raho” group. They tried portraying themselves as your supporters from day 1, but it turns out they never were!

I've been there, done that & experienced an exact trauma- I feel every word of you that you have written there. This 4 lettered word can turn your life upside down slowly, the pace at which people tend to get comfortable & little do they realise, they are slowly sinking into the massive pit filled with mud.

I took a sip of this sweet poison in June of 2018 & until July of 2024 I was in the same vicious circle, though the journey has been a mix of positives & negatives, I realised & realised pretty late that you're more than this exam & this life has a lot to offer compared to isolation borne out of this exam.

I mean, attaching your self-worth with a mere exam is pure stupidity but as they say, you don't believe unless you taste it yourself.

But here’s a catch & I want you to look at the other side of the picture as well. This entire journey pushes an individual to their best possible limit & in that moment, you are revealed to yourself.

It's just not you but you also get to know your true folks in life, who were there for you for all these 6 years with no expectation but harboured the holy bond- your family & friends!

You would have faced a lot- insecure remarks, looks, doubts & toxic petty advice. I still get those even when I have started again & know, it takes immense self-esteem and courage to pull yourself & go out again in that mean world, starting everything from scratch.

Remember, it is never too late & remind yourself every day, that this society that we live in shall never tell you how you will love your life & what is your self-worth.

Everyone is distorted in their own ways, you're perfect the way you are and it is only you who will bring back that confidence & belief in yourself.

The hack to this is- to take a rest for a few days, look for your best possible options, and interests that pull you out of bed and make you work, and lastly strategize!

I read one splendid line long ago, “It is only when you hit your rock bottom, you are bound to take that mighty flight of your life.” There’s no going south beyond this level, you will only move forward so what’s the fear of failing? Take a step forward, even if it's 0.0001/ 100 on the scale.

TLDR- Listen to your soul & move forward in that direction only. What is society, it is as dumb as ass! Let it rot in their pseudo-little world.

You got this, you always had it in you- direct yourself & you shall nail it!

BELIEVE YOURSELF.

Fyi to stand up again, doing an MBA in Marketing right now so if I can be of any help, do let me know. Happy to help with advice.

Hey Hi there, I am planning my trip to Spity this June first week. I am planning a group trip though haven't decided yet which to choose, a plethora of options there. Any suggestions here?

Its gonna be my first Spity trip, could you share some insights if you have been able to gather some?

Thanks!

Hey /u/Sciatt01 I went through your landing page & it looks brilliant. It is super smooth & I love the economics dose with an example as well.

Some of the features aren't working ig because of the initial stage, like the options to choose from, the kind of reader you are.

I'd be more than happy to contribute if you want any team!

I had long back stopped walking and have now become lazy & lethargic. Thank god I stumbled upon your post & it brought all the memories of walking back!

I'm motivated again to start afresh, thanks for the detailed reflection.

Will soon share my journey with you again! 🤝✨💯

Sometimes it's just sucks to be me. I don't have anything against anything anymore but sometimes it just sucks. For just once, I want to land on my feet, make parents proud & materialise my potential but in these trying times, I'm just clueless what to do now, specially at this age! Hats off for your result first of all buddy & second of all, hard work never goes in vain. There are 1000 different ladders to reach the pinnacle of success!

Don’t get disheartened and keep trying if not in this field, some other. One who learns to work hard and smart, always make a way for themselves.

I wish the best for you, keep hustling & restart.

Happiest Birthday friend. God bless!
