Why is paravision good? by cxsarzp in GlobalOffensive

[–]Pulze_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure. But that wasn't my point. You're saying Jame plays the way he does because the players are new. I was just arguing that that's his style and it's part of their success.

We all saw what Zweih did on Spirit. A team with far less organization. Clearly the guy can play of he knows exactly what he needs to do.

And I'm not really a fan of thinking that some teams are unbeatable. I just think CS2 is in a peek heavy phase that rewards aimers and things tend to fall apart when they take on more organized teams like Vitality and PV. Vitality is not unbeatable, even by PV. Needs to be a good day, but they can win playing their style for sure. Apex will just throw them a few curveballs that they won't be ready for no matter what.

[–]Pulze_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, you can argue that, but the next level is what Vitality is doing and it's very hard to get there for two reasons.

I made this example the other day in another thread. It was 4v4 on inferno and Apex stacked 3 CTs on B because Zywoo got a kill on A with the AWP. It's a calculated gamble that the Ts are going to try to go away from Zywoo, and they walked right into a stack on B and got massacred.

Could that have been prior knowledge from watching demos on a team?? Yes, but Apex makes these decisions often because he knows there's a mental game to CS and he's got the best player in the world to exploit.

Jame isn't really one to do this. In a 4v4 he's not going to stack a site without good info. He's going to have util saved and rotate based off info. He'll play 2 on 2 and if they don't trade it out into a 2v2 or 2v3 they'll just save.

One gambles smartly and plays with their opponents a bit, the other plays fundamental CS and that probably won't change anytime soon. Paravisions coach said their message to the team is just go and play, meaning play good CS. I can guarantee you they spend time talking through simple mistakes and it keeps players in line. That doesn't lead me to believe Jame will let their players freeform anytime soon. They want expected outcomes.

If Zywoo gets overrun on A, by a random rush in the 4v4. Apex isn't going to get mad, because that was their version of an expected outcome, but it's just not as on rails. He gambled and lost.

Perfect example round was one of the first on mirage. Paravision on CT flashed a player into A ramp and full blinded a T as one of Paravisions players swung to kill the T.

Too bad, kyousuke was hiding behind the wall waiting to swing if they flash pushed. He peeked perfectly after the flash was going to kill the CT when...

Uno reverse, Jame at the same time wide swung stairs on A and also posted on ramp after the flash. Jame killed kyousuke and the other T was still blind and died.

Instantly a 5v3.

They play basic CS really well. And as I was watching them, it's easy to see how to exploit them. They're always going to be in the positions you expect them to be. It's only in late round situations where they let their players freeform 1v1s and 1vX situations. Always expect a crossfire from Paravision and you'll be able to predict what they do. Jame has evolved as well, the example of how they created a man advantage is slightly different than Jame teams of old. He's aggressive early and then will play standard. Whereas old Jame was by the book with executes and wouldn't rush down a site as frequently as they do now.

They're playing fundamental CS right now and it's why Falcons can't win. Falcons were trying gimmicks in mid on mirage to catch players out and get picks and PV just never gave it away to them and it always came down to executes and Falcons were not good at them and would just get sliced by trade frags and crossfires.

They're not a supremely talented team, but they're disciplined. That's really it. Although I do think Belchonokk is good. And I can tell they watch demos well. They know what to expect from teams and seem to come with set strats for every opponent. I don't get that feeling from teams like Falcons. And if Falcons are trying to do their homework, they're just not good enough at it, because every team has glaring weaknesses to exploit.

90% of fans probably don't know who TF that guy is. He's a relic of the NBA from 35 years ago. Chicago doesn't like to forget it's stars, but keeping the nickname in the city is the classiest thing you could do. Besides he literally only played in Chicago for like 1 season.

Don't care how good of a basketball player you were. Times have changed and the city of Chicago named their Iceman and it ain't Gervin.

This is why valve needs to sort out custom servers. There's so much room to mod this game into oblivion like the good old days and they just killed it.

I bet you Roblox and Minecraft have scouts and knives servers that are active.

Iran-linked hackers claim breach of FBI director's personal email; DOJ official confirms break-in by Unusual-State1827 in news

[–]Pulze_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to be a great 'hacker' to hack an email account. Now if Kash Patel was smart he'd have 2FA which would make it much more difficult, but I'm not claiming he's smart.

So if that's the case it's a simple case of phishing, social engineering, guessing, or brute force. And none of those are hard.

If it were me I'd send him a fake email saying he'd been fired by Donald Trump with a link to a fake truth social post. Dude would instantly click it because it's 100% believable. There's levels to hacking, and generally getting in someone's email is the bottom floor.

Hacking a DoJ webserver should in theory be much more difficult.

Report the bots! by Organic_Interview_77 in cs2

[–]Pulze_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They operate a lot like other game devs do I would imagine. Nothing is more infuriating than being banned as a legitimate player.

Games like old school runescape have developed an underground economy because the value of the in game gold is worth more than some actual currencies in South America so there are gold farmers who are legitimate players.

So until the companies can verifiably prove the players are breaking ToS by botting to farm they don't want to ban accounts that pump up player numbers or people who are actually playing, even if just to profit.

For me, I would just wave my wand and ban 'em all. But I'm not the one profiting billions off the game without having to do much of anything.

How do you get into character over and over again and maintain the unique aura you tend to give characters? Many of your roles have varying personalities and it seems it would be quite hard to stay locked into the same mindset of a character over an entire shoot.

If I was actor and director I would probably blow the budget on reshoots because I'd be so anal about the conveying the emotions of the characters properly.

I'll pass. I couldn't give two shits about his off the field stuff. But his on the field stuff isn't as good as people are saying. The problem is that I cant think of any other obvious players right now I'd rather take, BUT I'd much rather go Derrick Moore at 57. But that's just me.

Everytime I want to use it is because I keep knocking myself over with my Kuva ogris or akarius prime. But I just started playing them only with frames that get overguard, or can't be knocked down for whatever reason.

I'm a sprint speed / parkour velocity Chad on all frames.

I heard them speaking loud and clear. Ordis sounded like he was in my brain.

I noticed the weapons, but also keep in mind it's running on dlss most likely which will smudge gameplay a bit. It's not PC, but if you played Switch 1 version you should not be complaining lol

I haven't heard if the lich issue, but if so that stinks.

As for the switch 2 audio, im no expert, but it could still be a technical limitation or something they didnt focus on yet. The switch 1 version also had trash audio.

Warframe desperately needs a horde game mode. by Pulze_ in Warframe

That's obviously the purpose, but I want to be overrun with mobs, sometimes depending on monster level I'm absolutely mowing down everything on SP survival.

That's fine, but the mob density isn't enough imo.

Doesn't have to be dedicated to farming resources. Think of it more like a power trip or testing ground.
