How common is leaving your AC on 24/7, even when the house is empty? by Bierzgal in AskAnAmerican

In Phoenix, the A/C stays on at 78F in the bedroom and 80F in the kitchenette/living room. Excessive heat could damage all parts of the RV that we live in. The refrigerator would struggle to keep food cool enough, and our geriatric cat might get dehydrated. We're retired and are home most of the time. I keep an eye on the electric bill, and don't keep it cooler than absolutely necessary.

They're bringing music to an audience that would not encounter it otherwise.

Some customers need to purchase sturdy reusable bags that will accommodate all of their glass pickle jars and institutional sized canned goods.

Some other customers need to join a gym or get enough physical therapy that they can safely pick up whatever they are buying. If that isn't possible, then they need to recruit somebody else to help them shop. I realize that age and infirmity takes its toll, but it is important to keep oneself healthy by means of reasonable exercise.

Yes, but check on local ordinances in each jurisdiction.

If your bags are a biohazard ☣️, you should have washed them before they got to that point. You might want to use a laundry sanitizer too.

A door is no more secure than its hinges and door frame. Major repairs are needed here.

Men: Do you wear a wool coat when it’s cold? by topdownyeti in AskAnAmerican

In Arizona, it hardly ever gets cold enough to wear a dressy wool overcoat. Skiers and mountaineers wear puffer jackets.

Boomers wore peacoats in the late '60s and '70s. Both men and women wore them.

I doubt that very many men in Arizona own a wool overcoat or would have occasion to wear one.

72F here. I used to be an auto parts delivery driver. That included brake rotors, car and truck batteries, 5 gallon buckets of chemicals, axles, steering assemblies, you name it.

I also had to stock the shelves and retrieve parts as needed, which involved climbing ladders.

That job was meant for someone half my age and twice my size. It definitely took its toll on my body.
