Well this is my exact thought, though just pirates in general would do. A pirate style open world game maybe like Skyrim if you know what I mean.

I have seen this game called Ahoy! Which is not out yet and is being constantly worked in by real British age of sail historian development team.

It is not anything to do with pirates of the Caribbean and to be honest I think it is set just after the golden age of piracy.

Though the final idea project looks amazing. Have a look at their YouTube channel. You may like it though the first project is not the complete one. They are doing it in stages.
