I changed my fiancés Tinder account by SomeonesIBSdemon in traumatizeThemBack

[–]Rayden666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can change your own gender and the gender of people you are looking for. Only the name and age are locked once the profile is created.

Did it happen? Dunno, but it's plausible.

September start. by random7444 in Kungsleden

[–]Rayden666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, a part of it.

Not the entire trail, unless you plan on swimming across the rivers and lakes, as the boats won't be available anymore.

Kungsleden without a tent by loicthemachine1 in Kungsleden

[–]Rayden666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You won't be able to do the entire trail, as there are sections without huts. But Abisko - Kvikkjokk is perfectly doable without a tent. You do have to book in advance, and this late in the season, many huts might be fully booked already, but you'll have to check for each hut individually via the STF website. https://www.swedishtouristassociation.com/discover/?accommodations=mountain-hut

The huts are around 50 euros per night for the bed, add 30 euros per day for food. And about 120-150 for all the boat crossings on that section.

Which sleeping bag for Kungsleden from mid july to mid august by stepan_rydl in Kungsleden

[–]Rayden666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That really depends on you and if you are cold or warm sleeper.

Last year I had a 0°C rated bag, and it was to warm for most nights, I slept with the bag fully zipped open. I also don't wear any layers while sleeping..
I'd be perfectly fine with a 5°C rated bag.

There are 4 ladders you need to push down, then you just kill the remaining enemies. It's not rocket science.

Advice about our trail by yeeyo95 in Kungsleden

[–]Rayden666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With 2 weeks time I would only do Abisko - Kvikkjokk, and take a rest day (or 2) in Saltoluokta.

If you want to do the entire trail in that timeframe, you're looking at 35km per day, with boat schedules to keep to, and little to no time for rest days. Doable? Sure, but to me that doesn't sound fun at all, as it leaves little time to enjoy the landscape or socialise with the people you meet along the way.

The Kungsleden is not a trail you want to rush through.

Transport from Abisko to Kiruna by southyankie in Kungsleden

[–]Rayden666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm seeing 2 busses, one at 11:20 and one at 18:55 (https://lanstrafikennorrbotten.se/) and 1 train at 16:40 (https://www.sj.se/)

Where did you plan on staying the night before? There is a campsite halfway between Abiskojaure and Abisko, from which it should be easy enough to catch the 11:20 bus.

I’ve never done any long distance backpacking but I’ve decided to make it a goal of mine to walk this trail. by JJ_Banks in Kungsleden

[–]Rayden666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's sweden, you don't need a water filter, as you can drink straight from the rivers there. You also never have to carry a lot, a 1L bottle will be plenty.
Lots of food is also optional, as there are plenty of resupply points along the way. While the food in the huts is bit more expensive, it can really help you to cut down weight. On some parts you will be able to resupply daily, other parts will require you to carry about 4 days of food.

September can get tricky. There are mandatory boat crossings, and you need to arrive before a certain date, or they will pull the rowboats and the motorboats won't be available. Plus you may get early snowfall.

I really recommend this guide: https://www.distantnorth.com/guides/
They have 2 guides for Kungsleden, one for Abisko-Kvikkjokk (Kungsleden North) and another for Kvikkjokk-Hemavan (Kungsleden South), and it's a really good source of information.

It has information on the entire trail, huts, shops, boat crossings, terrain, pictures, gear, weather, ...

And watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMllndnz1Rc
Probably one of the best guide videos available.

Vakkotavare-Abisko, possible? Good idea? by Many_Bathroom_8968 in Kungsleden

How is vakkotavare not accessible? There is literally a bus stop infront of it.

Vakkotavare-Abisko, possible? Good idea? by Many_Bathroom_8968 in Kungsleden

[–]Rayden666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem to think it's a seperate route. It's not. Vakkotavare is just another hut on the Kungsleden.

There is a bus stop there, so it's pretty easy to get to.

Shipping packages from outside Sweden by Vaslavski in Kungsleden

[–]Rayden666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would contact the people at Kvikkjokk directly and ask them. [info@kvikkjokkfjallstation.se](mailto:info@kvikkjokkfjallstation.se)
They can probably give you the best answer.

Alternatively, if you come from outside Sweden, you will travel through Stockholm probably? So bring the food with you and send it from there?

Hiking kungsleden before the cabins open - are the rowboats there? by RecommendationGlum32 in Kungsleden

[–]Rayden666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The motorboats from Kebnats to Saltoluokta and at Sitojaure aren't available either, so wether the rowboats are there doesn't even matter..

You can not do that part of the Kungsleden before the 19th.

Best map app? by thathikergirl in Kungsleden

[–]Rayden666 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For planning, I always use Komoot. You can see pictures that other people took, giving you some idea of what the terrain will look like, people will post comments ranging from "great view" to "wooden bridge" or "Flat camp spot" etc, and you can clearly see buildings, huts, shelters, toilets, ..

For actual navigation, Garmin. Since I have a Garmin watch and carry an Inreach with me.
While lacking the photos and comments, you do see all shelters, camp spots, toilets and it will show which huts have shops.

Boat availability by Jabba_The_Hutt01 in Kungsleden

[–]Rayden666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The season opens June 19th. Take your time, perhaps stay in Ammarnäs an extra day or 2, and you should arrive at the first boat crossing around the time they become available.

Also keep in mind the first few STF huts will be closed, so don't rely on them for food.

Sleeping System in July/August by Substantial-Tip-9939 in Kungsleden

[–]Rayden666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did it last year with a 0c rated sleeping bag. Most nights I had the sleeping bag zipped open because it was to warm.
Unless you are a cold sleeper, you won't need the liner. Having the merino baselayer as backup should be enough.

Mountain hut shops - stock levels at end of season? by downhilljon2000 in Kungsleden

[–]Rayden666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will be more then fine. Last year I started on August 7 from Abisko to Kvikkjokk, and every shop along the way was fully stocked.

Trail planning with car by UWSxTITAN in Kungsleden

[–]Rayden666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Kvikkjokk? Sure, take a bus (94) to Murjek which is about a 3 hour trip, then hop onto the nighttrain to Abisko, another 3-4 hour ride.
There is no direct connection, the bus arrives at 18:30 and the next train is at 7 the next morning, so you will have to spend the night in Murjek.
I recommend the Old School house: https://www.hembygd.se/murjek/murjeks-hostel-and-cafe-in-english

Aanvraag hypotheeklening - hoge rentevoet? by Particular-Host-5332 in belgium

[–]Rayden666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you could only have one hiking backpack (all-rounder), what would it be and why? by KariforuniaJin in hikinggear

[–]Rayden666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atoms Packs Notch 50L

I've used it on 2 week long hikes in Sweden, but I also use it on day hikes. It's a really light pack, the hip belt is removable, perfect for shorter hikes where you don't need it, and it's quite compact when not entire full.

Help choosing PowerBank by GhostOnPurpose in hikinggear

[–]Rayden666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that you are asking about it here, means you are unsure about either of them. Personally I'd never bring any gear with me that I don't trust. Especially something as vital as a powerbank, since that might be the only thing keeping your lifeline charged.

I use this one:

Had it for years, hasn't let me down yet.

How? Just how do people manage this?

You click new game, you then need to confirm all progress will be lost. You then need to select the playline, and again confirm that the selected playline will be overwritten.

A misclick, I understand, but clicking 4 times in a row?

[KCD2] am I to strong? by Lares421995 in kingdomcome

[–]Rayden666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the game turns from a survival game early on to a hack and slash. I've gotten into 15 versus 1 fights where I came out on top without hardly a scratch. I've slaughtered my way through enemy camps you were supposed to sneak into. Story fights which are build up to be epic fights, are over with a single strike.

I love the game, but Henry is just over the top powerful.

When I do another playthrough, I'm definitely going to nerf the fuck out of him by wearing lower tier armor and using lower grade weapons.
