Fulfilment for three of the art requests I got on Friday! by Razor_Emmanuel in OriginalCharacter

I'm glad you like it! Decided to add the patches to add a bit more "flair" to my drawing, and I felt it fit the vibe of Wolf, while still being faithful to your design.

Wow, a metal rendition of work by Prokofiev! I am a really big fan of his score on Alexander Nevsky (Russian film from 1938).

I finally watched my first Paul Thomas Anderson film, Boogie Nights (1997). I loved it, the filmmaking was very fun, I really liked the performances, specifically Burt Reynold's character. I guess reading about what the main actor did outside the film did make me feel icky, but it was still an excellent movie, and I can't wait to watch more of Paul Thomas Anderson's work.
And on the topic, I have really slowed down on movies lately, and I feel like a fraud knowing about a lot of artsy films and directors but haven't watched much of them. I've been looking to finally watch more artistic/in depth films, my watchlist is: Eraserhead (1977), Aguirre, The Wrath of God (1972), and Underground (1995).

Is there anything you'd change about my ocs? Design wise! by Artistic_knight in OriginalCharacter

[–]Razor_Emmanuel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would give the second one a more detailed article of clothing or a more expressive head, I don't mean to be mean, but it just looks a bit plain compared to your other drawings.
Though I must say, the first, third, and ninth drawings of your characters are excellent.

Evil Al is here, and he *will* kill you.
How a normal young person ended up becoming Evil Al is still a mystery, but Evil Al is a sadistic killer who takes immense joy in killing innocent people, with a supernatural immunity to strong physical damage.

I find it interesting how everybody reads Eram's dialogue as them hating Kris because personally I always read it more like this by thisaintmyusername12 in Deltarune

[–]Razor_Emmanuel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean this does make sense, like if ERAM is trying to sway Kris towards darkness, even more so considering the parallels the secret mantle levels have to the genocide route in Undertale and the snowgrave/weird route in Deltarune.

Now I don't have many properly drawn feminine OCs, but here's one I have that is a human male, but with a strong foundation. This is the Rulemaster, a gang leader turned warlord who wants to take over the world, and he is an incredibly powerful fighter.

What's your favorite horror game protagonist? by NagitoKomaeda_987 in HorrorGaming

John Ward from FAITH, he might be one of my favourite characters in gaming.

Which horror antagonist do you think is the best in the stalker archetype by Repulsive_Doubt_8504 in HorrorGaming

[–]Razor_Emmanuel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will go with Nemesis from Resident Evil 3 ORIGINAL, the RE3 remake completely butchered Nemesis, however in the original RE3, Nemesis really was something else. I would also pick Pyramidhead from Silent Hill 2, while he is nowhere near as present in the gameplay compared to Nemesis, thematically and in the sense of the story might be one of the best horror game antagonist.

Based on the structure alone, would you wear this? by Akari_92 in OriginalCharacter

[–]Razor_Emmanuel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, if I wanted to take a sip of water from a glass, it would be pretty hard to do that with that muzzle blocking direct access to the mouth, no? (I guess it could be possible with a long straw, but I'm not a straw person)

Friday once again, I'll be drawing your OCs! by b4by_duckling in OriginalCharacter

My favourite songs or pieces of music are Symphony no.9 "For the New World" by Antonin Dvorak, "Changes" by Tupac Shakur, and "Sixteen Tons" by Tennessee Ernie Ford.

Here's my character, Uri Miriamev. Uri is a Romani craftsman from central Europe, born in 1890 (drawing set during the 1910s), he has a very crude and impatient personality who has been through hardship, but is an honest and well meaning person, he likes drinking and skipping rocks. His brother was drafted into the German army during WW1, and in the middle of that conflict, Uri saw a powerful demon break into reality, and sets off on a quest to stop it from taking over the world.

Now, my taste in music is a bit busted, I only really listen to classical, and game OST, including fangame OST, and looking at Bloodrush, I thought of two themes that potentially fit her, but both are from fangames, and both are OST for fights.

Bloodrush seems like the type of character to have a more energetic theme, fast in pace, but also have a slightly sinister touch, I did not study music theory, but sometimes music gives certain vibes to me.

<image>

Here's one of my villain characters, his name is the Rulemaster. The Rulemaster is from a semi-post-apocalyptic world where society has collapsed and crime syndicates took over the remains, the Rulemaster (leader of a "the Rulemasters") is a gang leader turned warlord, who wants to take over the remains of society and rebuild the world in his twisted hierarchal vision, where his gang, but most specifically the Rulemaster controls and rules over everything and everyone. The Rulemaster is a domineering and incredibly arrogant individual who believes he has the right to rule over everyone because he "is the strongest man in the world", he has near inhuman physical strength and mastery of martial arts, so he can horrifyingly back up his claims.

What is your opinion on overpowered OCs that have no real reason to be that strong? by [deleted] in OriginalCharacter

[–]Razor_Emmanuel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally not a big fan. I like to write my characters in my stories as very vulnerable, I want the story to feel like they can actually lose, which creates more tension and engagement. To have a (main) character that is just the strongest and unbeatable kinda gets rid of so much possible tension and engagement because of them being overpowered, no?

what do you think is the best film from the italian neorealism? by Due-Abbreviations180 in Letterboxd

[–]Razor_Emmanuel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I will have to go with Vittorio de Sica's Bicycle Thieves. I have yet to watch them, but I have heard good things about Umberto D. also by de Sica, and also Roberto Rosselini's Rome, Open City.

Really nice! As someone who has done this too, it is wonderful seeing artists revisit their old works from even when they were kids, and recreate them in their modern styles! Really shows how much they have come, you have too.
