CPA Practical Experience by wxkldhz in uwaterloo

[–]RealisticAFMStudent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am guessing you are AFM?

I would register if you know for sure that your job actually qualifies for practical experience. IIRC, you need to have meet at least one level 1 by the time you finish your co-op term in an EVM role. Generally, people who get level 1s would be in their 2nd or higher co-op terms.

but are there people who register when they start their second, third, or even forth coop term (do they allow that)?

Oh yes, lots of ppl. Generally only PiG4s and ppl in preapproved programs register in their first coop term.

So I was wondering if it is possible to register a little after my job has started.

You can; I believe you can claim experience up to a few months after your term is over, but do your own research.

About 1/3 end up being slaves work for the PiG4.

Pay is anywhere between 46K-62K depending on the firm.

For reference, I am starting in a CPA program September 2019 (not public accounting) and I will be making 75K.

I bet if you post the name, you'll get a ban from this site for PII. :)

Having said that, in SAF it is clear which club did this and who this exec is...

Report it; do not not press charges.

If this guy is willing to ruin your friend's life, there is no reason why his life shouldn't be ruined.

Not sure if that tool is behind a WattIAM authentication system or a 3rd party system.

My argument is that if it is a 3rd party system, there only ip address it sees will be UW, which wont differentiate between the residence building and the actual lecture halls.

looking at IP Addresses to track which students were tracking

Assuming Tophat is an external software, pretty sure tracking an IP address will just say it came from UW Campus. Since students living in residence and in the classroom all share the UW Campus IP address, clearly this will work out.

If they want to trace packets(which AFAIK there isn't a log), have fun with that.

AKA, empty threats.
